Dreamfall on sale @ Target

I just picked up Dreamfall for $7.88!
I just had to let you guys know about it! What a steal!

Yea, me too. Paid 7.48 actually. Installing all 6 god damn CDs right now. Goddamnit. It burns me especially because I have two bloody DVD drives in my computer but PC developers are only JUST starting to use the damn technology.

By the by, I never did finish The Longest Journey...is that advised before I play Dreamfall (and not advised in the "oh, you haven't finished TLJ WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU FINISH IT NOW" type of advice, but rather the "you might not get as much out of it".

There are lots of references to TLJ in the game, and lots of returning characters the game doesn't really bother introducing, so finishing TLJ is probably a good idea (though Dreamfall is not a direct sequel, so it's not absolutely essential).

Are you sure about that? I don't think you miss that much. I agree TLJ should be played, but perhaps you can do that afterwards. If you do read a walkthrough, an elaborate one can be quite tedious, it would be better to read just about the plot. I don't know where to find that, unfortunately.
