I was browsing through the toys catalogue of Carrefour in Belgium and what do I see on page 68: runaway 2 39.90 euros???? Has it been released? Is the Belgian version in English or Dutch/French? Does anybody know more about this?

Didn't know it is released already. Are you sure about this?
The first game was english with dutch subtitles so I guess it will be the
same for the second game.

It definitely isn't out globally yet. The French version isn't due for release until November 17th, the UK won't get its version till next year, and I can't speak for the Belgian version at all.

Hi,

Find it hard to believe... I have looked into several stores in Belgium and Holland, all stated a release date early January. Both on DVD or 2 CD-ROM.

I live in Belgium too so I would love to have confirmation :D

Maybe I will stop at a Carrefour this weekend since I did not received a toys catalogue yet.

Guess the box will be in Dutch/French but the game will be narrated in English... Belgium and Holland have too few buyers to translate the voice acts... maybe the subs are available in more languages.

Though I do remember a game by Cryo Interactive from 2001: King Arthur's Knigts
Origins Of Excalibur that was 100% dutch spoken :9 Too bad the game was no good :7

I believe the French version of the game is gold and will be out on the 17th. It will therefore most likely appear on store shelves in France and in half of Belgium on that day.

Waaaaa... I ordered it with Amazon, which probably means longer waiting...
Oh well, I don't like to have boxes with French text on them anyway... and now that I think about it, I don't like the Flemish text too much either...

The Belgian version of Runaway 1 was English spoken with dutch subtitles, so I hope we are getting the same thing for Runaway 2. My Carrefour did not have it on thursday though.

Don't expect the game to be out until the 17th. Isn't the Carrefour PDF a monthly publication? If it is the case, then it makes sense for them to advertise Runaway 2 even though they still don't have it in store.

Has anyone in Belgium laid their hands on the game yet? Fnac doesn't have it yet, nor does Carrefour or Mediamarkt.

The game is out in Belgium. I had some troubles with the CD protection scheme because of the old age of my computer. Fortunately, the support for the game was really good and we could sort the problem out. The game is really great so far despite Brian's terrible haircut and "cool" attitude.
Technically, it is light years ahead of any other adventure game; the characters blend in perfectly with the backgrounds and their animations are top notch. And to cap it all, it runs on really old hardware.

Is it fully english subtitles and voices what they sell in australia in EB games ?
And do you know if EB games australia make a shipment to International countries ?
And last question do you think they have more copies in stock now ?

If so ill call them now and order one i live in Israel .

Could you call them and ask them if they make a shipment to israel and how long it will take to get over to Israel ? cuz it will cost me a lot to make a distance call from Israel to australia.

Does anyone know if the US version will be on DVD or CD? I hated the CD swap problem from the first one. If it is on CD, I hope that they have at least made it so that you don't have to swap CDs everytime you play the game.

But they didnt have it in stock yesterday.
The time now in australia in warehouse place is : 10:50 AM morning.

So far they didnt send me the order i did on december the 8.
They asked me for a security check so i sent them a fax with my credit card details and all the info they needed .

But untill yesterday the 14 of december in the website of them the game wasnt in stock it was : Back-Order .

Now i see its in stock again. but so far when i check in the website of them my order status it says waiting for security check , last update 13 of december.

Well ill keep wait for them to change it and send me email when my shipment is on the way.
Im waiting a lot about a week and thats only for security check.
In this time i could have the game allready.

I sent them two emails now and i hope they will send it very soon .

It is out in French language in Belgium. I don't know about the English/Dutch version. Try www.proxis.be if only to see what versions are out here.

The Game is around 6GB in size so there is a good chance that it will be available only on DVD...

The version that I picked up earlier in the week in my local Halifax Wal-Mart is on DVD, I''m really surprised it is actually out here before appearing in the US.

I think the launches in Western Europe are delayed because of Christmas -- too much out at the moment, so they'll wait until it is quieter in the new year.

Game is completed, and for smaller markets (mainly where they don't market heavily) they've released. The bigger markets, UK, US, etc are having to wait.

If you want an english copy, you can source the Australian or Greek versions, as these come with the proper voices etc.

Most or all of the sites in greece are in greek/hellas language.
I cant understand a thing so i cant fill the info i need i dont know if the sites they have the game in stock and how long it will take if they do to deliver the game to Israel .

Can someone help me make an order ?
I know the problem is the credit card info but we can make it.

Hmmm... isn't Ascaron supposed to be the publisher?

EDIT: Ascaron's homepage (http://www.ascaron.com/gb/gb_games/index.html) has three different release dates for the game - Dec 1, Jan 3, and Mar 9. It doesn't explain to which country each release date is relevant. They have the UK flag on their webpage, but did they also release it in Greece, if not Australia?

By the way, does the game come on a single layer DVD, or dual layer? I heard that it's more than 6GB... to check whether a DVD is single layer or dual, just check the size of the contents of the DVD.

Game is awesome. THe australian version looks to me to be canadian (since it's french/english).
