Has anybody played The Dark Eye?

A wonderfull game (if a little lacking in the 'game' department), but I'm stuck due (I think) to a possible bug.

I've completed all stories threads except for the version of Berenice where you play the murderer. No matter what I do, I never get the oppurtunity to switch from Berenice to her fiance. The first time a played the story, I switched from Berenice, to her fiance and then back to Berenice again. But now the option never arrises. I get killed, the game takes me back to the dream sequence by the bird cage so that I can try again, and again, and again...

I can't leave the dream world until I finish this last story and I assume see the end of the game.

Hi, Dylan, I don't know if you still need help, but...

You don't have to enter Berenice's point of view first to switch to her murderer. Every chapter is accessible via two hotspots in the dream world - one to the murderer's story and one to the victim's. I can't remember what they were by the birdcage specifically (Perhaps the cage itself and the bird's eye? I don't know.), but, for example, for one of the other scenes it was the knife and the fish.

But, I will definately be playing this again soon. God, I would love to see Jan Svankmajer getting involved in writing an adventure game.
