I'll get it eventually. I've got plenty to play and I think I'll wait until the price drops.

I got it, I got it. My local gameshop was selling it already, and it's installed and the beer is in the fridge. Now i can't decide if i should start playing it now, or wait till i've eaten and watched JAG.
Our cover is bi-lingual. I have no idea if i spelled that right, but it's in Dutch and French and it looks like crap. The design of the manual is beautiful though.
Is the DVD Multi Language or just one language?

HI :)
Since I'm on a budget this fall (spent way too much money on games etc. in the spring & summer), I'm not getting any games at all this fall. I'll wait till
wintertime or springtime 2007, I think.
So in - short NO, I'm not getting a copy of BS4 this fall, let alone any other game...

Knowing PC games, the price will drop very quickly, just wait a month or two if your not sure.

There is improvement but it's still a bit slugish

I don't think it will work on my PC, so no.

Hmm, you'd think they'd monitor the feedback from the demo and completely fix the mouse so there's no sluggishness.
I'm so jealous Dale! I want a copy! I guess all of us in the US won't be able to get it for some time?
Maybe I should order a copy from the UK.

I'm not an admin or moderator so I have no power but to me, he is kind of plugging his own site and it does come off as a bit of marketing (given his name especially - JamieSI) but he's not trying to sell anything and is promoting an adventure game so it doesn't seem harmful or virulent to me. The ones that get axed are the click this link for a free <fill in the blank> or any gold farmers get booted lickety-split. :)

Will this game run on an intel 915GM integrated chipset videocard? I have laptop PM1.8 (850) with 768mb ram?
I know it will not work on my p4 1.6 @ 2.0 w/ 512mb ram and gf2ti w/ 64mb ram...or can it?

I just hate people who advertise so subtly, i'd rather they just said 'hey heres my site with some new reviews on it', rather than 'hey guyz this new game is coming out talk about it and generate free marketing plz'
The fact his other thread promotes another THQ game is the iffy bit, if he owns strategyinformer it doesnt really matter.
Anyway, yes I am buying this and it arrives in the post tomorrow :P

It was hardly subtle in either case. But as long as it's not overdone, we'll allow adventure-related links. Most people just ignore self-promoting threads or links, anyway, because everyone knows it's annoying. ;)
I have around 20 adventure games waiting in line to be played.I think I'll give some of those a shot before I add to the list :-P

Doesn't the demo have like... lots of bugs? I only got error messages when I tried to run it - I don't remember what they were though, but I'm careful to buy it, if it still doesn't run on my laptop...
Btw, BS3 ran nicely. Is this game demanding more than BS3?

Yes it is. If you got a lot of error messages you either didn't have the latest version of DX9.0c installed and/or your graphics chipset is too weak to play the game (very likely).

Go to Eurogamer. They gave the game a 7/10. Pretty strong for Eurogamer.

I officially hate Royal Mail. They can deliver the same product to Southampton a day early, but there's no possible way that they can deliver to a Portsmouth postal address on time :shifty:.

??
I'm surprised they managed to better it at all. Didn't think they would. I believe the demo arrived the 27th. That's less than three weeks before the game's official release. They never announced when it went gold, but I believe around two weeks before release is common (it couldn't possibly be much less). So at best they had a week to monitor feedback on the demo, and to make changes in the code. That's not a lot of time.

I still have to play Broken Sword 3, so I won't be getting this one any time soon. I'll probably pick it up when it's reduced in price next year or so.

I had DX9.0c installed, but I only have Mobile Intel 915GM/910GLM Express Chipset.
Don't say that BS4 won't work for me either. Sigh. First Dreamfall, now BS4, and my laptop is only 6 months old...

I now have my copy of it. I don't get how people are saying the mouse cursor speed is improved? It's extremely laggy for me, well, same as the demo. Also got a microsoft visual C+ runtime error and the game crashed.

Lucky that I got my laptop in April intended for non-on board graphic card as the gap in prices for on board and non-on board isn't huge...I bet most new games won't be supported by on board ones!
I had DX9.0c installed, but I only have Mobile Intel 915GM/910GLM Express Chipset.

Okay, heres the strange thing. I meet the requirements, and my card is supported (radeon x300, 128meg) I also have a gig of Ram.
With the unofficial omega graphics driver, it crashes after a short time of play...the way it works is, the game freezes. Then, the screen goes off (power light orange), then comes straight back on (power light green). After the screen is back on, i can't see anything, but i can hear the game still playing. (eg i can hear the menu if i press escape, or george running if i use the movement keys).
To combat this, i tried reverting back to the old official drivers(dated 2004) that came with the pc. This then seemed to solve the problem, no more crashes.
Great! So i update to the latest OFFICIAL drivers for my card, dated afew months back on this year (2006)
The crashes start again! So i have had to go back to the 2004 drivers. What effect this will have on other games i am yet to find out. What could be causing this?! (On all drivers, i did the obvious thing: i turned off any screensavers, or the screen powersaving...so that isnt the problem).
PS: No matter what drivers i use, i also always get a sluggish mouse...game plays fine, no slowdown, but the mouse is just slooooooow. Driving me abit mad.
Last night in preperation for the game, i defragmented and error checked the harddrive. I also did disk cleanups, and a full virus check. Just wish i could have smooth sailing. (At the moment i can play with the old drivers, but this isnt ideal. and the mouse is still doing my head in!)
I love the game, i played 3 hours as best i could: its a good game. But the issues are just doing my head in...the first 3 were always very stable for me. This one just takes the cake.

Damn, I wish I could play it with the full 1680x widescreen resolution but mouse gets sluggish and I'm quite sure FPS is terrible. If only I had the money to upgrade my system (2600+, 9700 Pro, 1028MB). ;(

You need an extra pair of hands.
By the way, the game has a hint website, wich you get to by clicking "extras" in the main menu, and then "hints".

Shadow of the Templars is probably my favorite game, but I have been a little disappointed by BS 2 and 3. Angel of Death looks to be more interesting to me than 3 at least and the demo was fun. I ordered my copy (import) from the Just Adventure store. Can't wait!
