It’s windmill in Atlantis, actually, but they’re practically the same tunes in different tempo, so you’re getting the full point. Tongue

Very interesting quiz Diego. Thanks… Thumbs Up

PD: Maybe somewhat off topic, but does anyone remember the song from Gabriel Knight that it was playing at St. George’s Book Shop?  I could never get that song out of my head. That melody <3 <3 ... unforgettable.

So now that Diego’s special thread resurrection quiz is over, what happens next? Will someone resume the thread’s standard guessing game by posting a new soundtrack clip? The last correct guess in the standard game (prior to Diego’s quiz) was by Ollie, but I’m not sure if he or she is around. Maybe Wilco or Crabapple who had the most points in Diego’s quiz can lead off a new round of the standard game?

I once did short covers of few Iron Maiden songs, and got plenty of critics/requests asking for full songs, which I didn’t have. Frown I’m afraid the situation here is similar - I should really bring myself to play them fully next time (I guess I’m lazy). All I can offer is somewhat longer version of Beyond Atlantis theme.

Excellent, that Beyond Atlantis cover is one of the ones that piqued my interest. Thumbs Up I have not played this game and so had not heard the original version before, which it turns out is also lovely, but your cover brings out a melancholy quality that stood out to me amongst the clips in the quiz.

OK, so I guess that’s it as far as full-length Diego recordings go. (I did notice your non-AG recordings like Outlaws on your YouTube account.) If that Atlantis theme is any indication, I hope you do make longer versions of some of your other clips from the quiz someday… very nice stuff.

For the guitar covers played by other people that you found on the internet (e.g. YouTube) and used in the quiz, if it’s not too much trouble, Diego, can you post the links to them? Just curious to hear them in full. I found a few with simple YouTube searches and maybe they’re all that easy, but a list would be great.

Sure, it’s a classic. Cool

Missed the sound quiz?! No? Err… ANYWAY - welcome to the new episodic Adventure game sound game - THE CONTINENTS! It’s simple, I’ll tell you on what continent the music plays in game (it’s mostly the 5 big continents, sorry Australia & Antarctica) and you need to guess the game. One guess per continent for each round, in spoilers. In future rounds, there will be some hints, like in what specific country it’s played.

The Continents - Pilot Episode

1. Africa 00:00
2. Europe 01:14
3. North America 01:47
4. South America 02:57
5. Asia (with a hint) 04:36

I adore it! Accordion is a traditional instrument and you don’t hear everyday Monkey Island played on it! Grin This is another fantastic cover.

This is a very nice type of quiz Diego, but unfortunately I can’t recognize anything. Music is not something that would stuck in my memory.I normally play ags with music set on minimum and I can see now, that I’m missing a lot, because some of these songs are really amazing.

I have absolutely no idea which games any of those are from, but I could have sworn that I had heard #3 in a Sergio Leone movie and that #4 was Gary Moore Wink
