I think, this would be great. With wonderful graphics of Sokal and most probably with his extraordinary scenarios, we would very enjoy with the adventures of lawyer Kate Walker.

It would be quite unnecessary. Syberia series is finished for good both as story and game series.
I don't need a new adventure with Kate Walker. I think she has played out her role in the adventure game universe.
But maybe in an FPS game... :P

I think an adventure with kate walker would be great. It could be called 'Bugeria'. Her and Oscar travel around the world in search of a rare game world called paradise. When they find it, their task is to fix all the bugs in that mysterious gameing world. It's not easy for them though, as they are faced with dangerous obstacles such as lethal crashes, slow menus and misplaced dialogues. Bugeria 2 would continue to see them fixing paradise, and it would end happily with them meeting Hans riding a Gazoline.

I think Kate's story have been told. She was part of something fantastic and we could come along. Making her into a regular adventurer a la Indiana Jones/Lara Croft would just rob Syberia from it's grace.

Kate Walker is a dull, boring person. She has absolutely ZERO interesting personality traits. Nothing about her stands out, good or bad (except perhaps that she likes to manipulate mentally handicapped children). There is nothing about her that would make her an interesting character for any further adventure games. Also, as I've said countless times, she moves too damn slow, even when she's "running". Unforgiveable.

Rot in Pieces Kate Walker :)
I'm currently developing a game called "Upstairs, Downstairs", and I was thinking of contacting Benoit Sokal to buy the rights for Kate Walker, because I really want to have her as the main character.
In the game, you play as Kate, and your goal is to climb several sets of stairs. Now, it may sound boring, but if you step on certain spots (which will be invisible) Kate will trip and fall all the way down, so you have to start all over again.
The game features varied and engrossing levels, such as The Spanish Steps, Barrockstadt University, and last, but not least, the Ace Ventura Temple Stairs.
You can control Kate by using the mouse, the keyboard, a gamepad, or a combination of those three.
You will also be able to hear some of Kate's memorable quotes, such as "I can't go down there" and "I can't go down there".
If everything goes as planned, I'm aiming for a late 2009 release.
So, would anyone be interested in playing this?

She does need a personality makeover; perhaps wardrobe too. But there is no reason she couldn't appear in some other story.
Characters have been resurrected before, so this wouldn't be a first.

Well, as usual, I find myself disagreeing with both the arguments and the attitudes of most of the people who have posted on this thread thus far.
I think Kate Walker has been portrayed thus far as a rather flawed creature, but I did not find her as distasteful as some. I found some of the other characters in the Syberia series to be quite irritating, but this did not spoil my appreciation for Kate herself, nor of the game, for that matter.
As I've said elsewhere once or twice before, I found it increasingly difficult to understand why she had chosen to follow the utterly incomprehensible and uninteresting Hans. But I suppose that a woman with no real adventure in her life would suffer a great deal of incomprehensible behaviour if it meant she was getting to do something different and character building for a change.
And finally, I think I would like to see Kate Walker eventually take up a new adventure, if for no other reason than that I believe she had developed into a very interesting and sympathetic person, and I would like to see what she can do with an adventure that didn't leave me wondering what the whole point had been.
I mean, really, mammoths, Hans? All this for that? Yeesh! And I thought I'd seen obsessive compulsive before.

Perhaps all of you should learn to speak French and play the french version.
Then you would stop complaining.

So she doesn't make a retarded child take something out of a swamp in her stead because she can't bear to get her hands dirty in the French version?

Yes, I definitely would love to see Syberia 3, although I hear it's not being considered at all. I liked Kate’s sassy attitude and kindness. It would have been nice to see a resolution not only for Hans but also for Kate in Syberia 2. She deserves her own adventure after helping Hans fulfill his dream. Regardless, she has left me with more than a few words to remember. “No need to weigh myself down” is one of Kate’s lines that I'm finding very useful on my journey through life.

As the site's URL would suggest (not to mention the text on box), that would be Italian, actually. ;)

Ah, you're right. I saw what looked like " L'Aventure de.." and thought it was french, but closer inspection reveals " L'Avventura di.." or something which yes, seems to be italian indeed as per the italian url.
