Haha, fooled you! No deep philosophical crap here. Just wondering if there are any ways to change the keyboard controls for the PC version. Specifically, I can't access the inventory because my computer doesn't have a right-control button. Anyone have any suggestions?

i don't think you can change the controls. do you mean your mouse has no right button? how do you normally right-click?

Wait, are you saying you can right-click into the inventory as well? I looked at this little reference card the game came with, and it says you need to use the right-control button on the keyboard. I also tried pressing every button on the keyboard and none of them worked.

try right clicking. i'm pretty sure that's how you access it.

i never read reference cards... they only serve to confuse me.

Seriously, SoD is one of the poster childs of supremely retarded ports from console to PC. Another one, btw, is Alone In The Dark 4. You cannot customize the controls, ever.

I know; unfortunately I don't HAVE a right-control button :( It looks like I'll have to wait until I get a new PC to play this one. Curses! Now that SOD thread is even more out of my reach!

did you TRY right-clicking? i just launched my game and it works both ways (right control button, or right mouse button).

and i have to ask... if you have no right control button, what's under your right shift button?

Ahhhh... It does work. The configuration feels really weird, since when my hand is on the mouse I expect my left hand to be on the keyboard, but it's manageable.

The arrow keys are under the right-shift and to the right of the right-alt. Go figure.
