Apparently this is a leaked demo and should only be downloaded at your own risk. Just a heads up. The official demo should come out the first week in October.

Worms 2D was legendary. I don't own in yet, but I find that that game has timeless value. It's been ages since it came out but I'm still gonna buy it :D

This one looks just silly :shifty:

I had to go through 5 screens saying "Taking you to your download in X seconds" *D

Yeah, me too. Although I am now, sadly, completely overburdened with demos...

I'll have to get them all played before the great October rush of real game releases!!!

Ninja Ropes are out. It didn't work in 3D. And no that won't make the game suck.

Well, I didn't think the demo was really fun at all, so I'll wait for the "official" demo and reserve judgment until then.

Bah, I was feeling all smug when I saw this - then I tried the demo and it doesn't work! Hmph...

It may not suck, but if it's fun for me, it will have to be for totally different reasons thatn the other games. For just one thing, ninja ropes were just about my favorite part of the game. I'd play games against myself and just ninja rope all over the place :P

THE GAME WILL SUCK.

Seriousl though, no ninja ropes = half as fun. The demo looked great, and it seemed like it could be fun with more weapins and time and moustaches! And aiming (especcially with grenades) was hard. But it was in the 2D version too, jsut not THIS hard.

And how did you get the airstrikes to hit where you wanted to? I can't decide the direction they're coming from, and the cursor is horribly imprecise.

There's a leaked German demo also, and that has a more recent code in it. That code allows Mouse-Look in the First Person View. So, yeah, that English demo is old code.

I'm waiting for the official demo, anyway.

Oh, and on the ninja-ropes. I'd rather have them out than having half-assed attempts on implementing them. Let them rest in peace...err, 2D.

I'm sure that Worms 3D will have other means of transport, like jetpacks. Although I have to agree that the rope was damned fun... all that swingin' around and trying to aim for just that right pixel.

Looks like I'm in a minority, I liked Lemmings 3D. :D Not as good as the games that came before it, but still not a bad game on its own. The camera and level designs still managed to be somewhat nice, if I recall.

Damn, beat me to it! And yes, it has jetpacks. Don't know if they're in the demo, but one of the developers said jetpacks are in.

Well, at least you're not alone. I enjoyed Lemmings 3D too.

As for Worms; it's one of those games that last forever. I often played against my brother and sister on our network. Hours of fun! The ways my brother always killed his own worms when trying to hit mine were freaking hilarious.

Well, I just got the official demo. I'll give Team 17 the benefit of the doubt for now, but I don't mind saying that this better be (as they say) indeed a work in progress, because the full game is going to have be a hell of a lot better. The controls are convoluted enough so as to make the game almost unplayable. You have to use both WASD and arrow keys, while adjusting the camera with the mouse?? On top of that, it's almost impossible to get a good solid view of what's going on. It feels like playing Warcraft III zoomed in all the way, if anyone knows what I'm talking about that, but with really annoying controls.

Ah Worms...made me barely pass in buisness class because I kept playing the demo with my classmates on the LAN instead of, ya know, doing work.

Hmmm, apparently Ninja Ropes ARE in. You can even enable them in the demo, through some hex-editing or whatnot.

That's interesting, considering Team 17 has stated in the past that they would not be using ninja ropes. I wonder if it will be enabled in the final version.

What a pain. This must cut out a large proportion of prospective demo players, surely? I'm not particularly bitter, and I realise there's a fix coming, but it does seem like a fairly huge bug to slip through to an "official" demo.

Also, why has this thread had so many viewers?!
