Because the old avatar made me look like I was shouting all the time, I decided to change it to a calm-looking cow. This one's from a comic strip, but which comic strip? It's an old one, I can say. Finns will probably guess this one...

OK, folks, it's from the old comic strip Moomin (which has nothing to do with cows, actually). If the name Moomin brings bad Japanese animations to your mind, I can tell you that the comic strip is "the original" and a really great one.

As you can see, it's a cow dressed as a martian.

Yep, by Tove and Lars Jansson. I like Tove's style best, she is (or rather was, because she died a few years ago) a "real" artist, after all, unlike her brother.

Well I wasn't sure what you meant since my finnish is rather bad. They are called Mumin here as you should know. I really liked the books when I was a kid.

They are "Muumi" in Finnish, "Moomin" in English. The comic strip isn't a comic specifically for children, though...
