Just because it's a new server doesn't mean it's foolproof.

Probably that typical "Database error; we've contacted the technicians" thing. I've gotten in a few times.
All through Friday, I was getting a 404 error when trying to access adventuregamers.com, the frontpage and the forums... Obviously it's working fine now, 'cause I'm posting here, but it was very odd...

The problem is, after I posted the first message I didn't get thise error anymore. And before that I didn't copy it. Server error was its title.

I hate this fucking forum... again when I'm reading replies no response anymore from the damn server... And off course, viewed posts status are undone this time so I have a hard time figuring out where I was reading the posts... mostly all posts marked as read when you return, which is even more annoying! And almost a week no response at all, neither on the site as on the forums... But at least my unread posts are untouched then... http://lucasforums.com/images/smilies/azcrying.gif
And retrying got me an aweful wait and this *&^%$% message for a few times:
There seems to have been a slight problem with the database.
Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.
An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.
We apologise for any inconvenience.
I don't give a damn, I just want to read the damn forums... the server and probably it's software are almost brand new so why these problems over and over again!?
If you don't want me on your forums you just have to say... and I'll be out of here... http://www.delteradventures.com//phpBB2/images/smiles/new_Eyecrazy.gif
Now it's super slow the forums and I hope I just get the change to finish figuring out what I haven't read an do so...

There was database trouble a few minutes ago. And new hardware does NOT guarantee 100% reliability, no matter what.

You're with Chello, right? If so it was their fault, not ours. Their DNS server was messed up. I've had the same problems and had to call their help desk three times to get it fixed.

Chello :pan:
Their helpdesk has improved, though. I remember waiting 15 minutes only to find out they automatically disconnect me after that time. Now I actually get to speak to someone within 1 or 2 minutes :frusty:

Yeah... Chello... :pan:
But it is hard to distinguish this Chello problem (the rest of the sites I visited worked) from a possible problem with AGers...
But I got a bit frustrated that I was catching up reading the forums when I got that database error... :frown:

The most annoying thing in the world is having to catch up. There were TONS of new threads which took me a day to read through. :o
