Phoenix Wright - end of case four

Just before Maya gets on the train, Phoenix is trying to convince her that she did help with the case and you get the option to choose an item from the court record to prove it. I chose the parrot but that wasn't right, and then she got on the train. Is there anything I could have chosen to change what happens next, or does the same thing happen no matter what you choose?
