Such a lovely art style. Great game. Still holds up well today too.

Looks very different to everything else I've seen in Adventure Game Scene of the day-threads. What is it?

Uggh. Thats like saying South Park is succesful due to it's visula production. I think Last Express held it's own due to it's wonderful story.

I liked the way that you subtitled translations of the languages the lead character understood when you heard them. Having them as subtitles (rather than having the characters speak in English with a funny accent) helped the whole immersion. Plus you had all the characters speaking in foreign languages he didn't understand (though ocassionally the player did)

Possibly the most well-written game ever.

Perhaps, but stylistically it (Last Express) does have an appealing and consistent style.

Last Express is brilliant artistically speaking, but not as good as a game.
One feature that I absolutely adore is the multi-lingual dialog.
