All of your games so far have been 3D.

Is there no place left in the market for 2D hand-drawn games?

Hello,

That fact of the matter is 3D is a much faster way to produce the games. Most of our animators have great 2D skills (heck, many of them worked on Monkey3), but the cost of doing 2D animation vs. 3D animation makes 2D impossible for us at the moment. You don't get the reuse and ease of editing in 2D that you do in 3D. And making a change to a 3D game is much faster than making a change to a 2D game. It's simply a matter of production costs.

I love the 2D games too, but for now, it's just not in the cards for Telltale.

Would you think about doing it in the future?

If a publisher gave us $5 million to develop a game - I bet we'd definitely consider 2D and Cell Shading!!
