Or have done some of? I've been slacking with adventure games, got some catching up to do. I've recently been playing doom3, half life 2, a bit of quake 4 and currently tomb raider legend.
I have:
Fahrenheit ( haven't started)
Still Life ( haven't started)
Moment of Silence ( did start it a few months ago, didn't get much farther than talking to the madman in central park, need to get past the yawn conversations)
Rhem2 (installed, only really looked around, but looks like it'll be too hard for me)
Gabriel Knight 3 ( done a tiny little bit of it)
Egyptian Prophecy ( only looked around )
Sherlock Holmes Silver Earring ( someway into it, haven't touched it for weeks).
EDIT: OOPS!Thought I was in the adventure forum. Can a mod move it or do a copy of it?

I´ve only got Scratches waiting on a shelf.
I have a few, sadly:
Broken Sword 1 (I've looked around the first two rooms)
Broken Sword 2 (unopened)
Broken Sword 3 (bought this full price on release day - money well spent obviously, because I haven't even opened it)
Deus Ex I've done the tutorial on, after much coaxing... I used to be really bad with buying games I didn't really want, but I'm better now.

Assuming you've bought all these, why do you continue adding to the collection when you've got masses waiting to be played? To ensure you have a copy at the very least? To keep it; savour it for a later stage?

At least 50 of them, most of which I never even started playing. Just several of them are adventures, though. I keep buying them because they're either really cheap or I really really want them.

Yep, I also almost never buy a new game right when it's released because I'm usually patient enough for it to be reduced in price. Since I'm always on the lookout for good deals on older and used games, my list keeps growing longer and longer (but sadly, my spare time is getting shorter and shorter! :()
Scratches (the current exception to my buying habits, got a copy at Wal-Mart for under $20 CDN while it was also selling at EB for $25!)

hmmm....nothing I haven't at least started, but a few I'm getting the urge to re-start where I left off, after reading these posts:
Psychonauts: Got as far as this annoying times part where I have to hit targets in a limited amount of time. Annoyed me, so I gave up.
Morrowind: Decided recently to re-try this one, but still bored out of my gourd looking for locations and people I'm supposedto talk to.
Buffy:Chaos Bleeds, Resident Evil Zero, and Price of Persia: Sands of Time: all on the Gamecube, been trying to decide which to play first.

I really want to play this game. I have 3 computers(win95, win98 and XP) and I can't get it to run. I even tried Dosbox on the XP. The problem is I'm really not a computer person, other than what I learned from installing games, I really have no technical knowledge or aptitude.

My problem, I think, is knowing which computer to use (do I try the dosbox on the win98 or the XP ?) and the fact that both those computers have F and G letters for the CDroms (each has 3 hardrives C, D, and E).

Like Colpet, I have a huge pile of unplayed/unfinished games. There are just sooo many classics from the pasts I haven't played yet, plus adventure deals on ebay have been really good recently. I do always play new arrivals for a while, just to check them out, and see whether they work on my pc, but then they go back in the box and sometimes have to wait for a very long, long time to be really played. ;)
So here's my unplayed list of adventure games (some because I haven't gotten them to run, others because, well you can't play all of them at the same time :D ):

Wimli, you've got to give Kingdom O' Magic a try. It's got some wonderful, utterly hatstand silliness that shouldn't be missed. I still laugh at the (very) public toilet (it's a toilet sitting off the side of the road with no enclosure) for some odd reason.
Of course, I can't be critical. My collection of yet to be played games is too large to keep properly organized, let alone even conceive of listing.
My excuse is that I buy a game because it interests me, and I know that waiting for too long will make it much more difficult to find, but once I own it it is mine for life, to be played at any time. I'm just as happy with an old game as a new one. All depends on my mood.

It does idd look like a lot of fun! I actually played it for a very short while, when I first got it (close to the original release date actually) and really liked it. Then I continued with other games I was playing at the time. Afterwards I couldn't get it to run on my (then) new Win98 computer. I just got my new Win XP pc. That'll probably make it even harder to run. :frusty: Oh well, one day I'll succeed and play the game! :)
And don't worry about a long list of unplayed games. Do try to post it here, or already part of it. I love looking at these lists. Gives me new ideas of games I should keep an eye for on ebay. ;) Then again, maybe I should stop buying and play some more of the games I already have. :D

Beneath a Steel Sky has been lingering on my hard drive. I downloaded it, fiddled with SCUMMVM for a few minutes and then went back to GK1.
GK2 seems to be forever lingering on my need to finish list. Took me a while to find a missing disk and now the FMV gameplay is just annoying the hell of me. I love the first and third games, but the FMV is just godawful.

Hmmn. *looks in huge pile of accumlating, unplayed games*
sorry, I've been on a bit of an acquisition jag... it's a bit of a habit of mine, studying a medium to death.
Let's start with the games I have installed that I'm not finished yet:
Fahrenheit
Post Mortem
Fable
Tomb Raider Legend
Neverend
Guild Wars: Factions
TES IV: Oblivion
AC's And Then There Were None
Al Emmo demo
King's Quest III remake
The list I have of games I have uninstalled without finishing (for various reasons, not all bad):
Discworld Noir (wasn't finished before computer upgrade; will get back to it)
Gabriel Knight 1 (lost interest; I'll get back to it)
Crystal Key (I will never finish this game; awful)
Around the World in 80 Days (not bad, but not particularly engaging either)
Beyond Atlantis (got part of the way through before I finally gave up caring)
Atlantis Evolution (barely got started before I got tired of it)
Psychonauts (technical problems)
Lights Out (lost interest)
Mystery of The Mummy (see Crystal Key)
Journey to the Centre of the Earth (installed twice, haven't finished yet; someday)
NiBuRu (can't remember why I stopped; seemed alright if dry)
Myst IV: Revelation (my wife was playing it at the same time, so I uninstalled to let her finish in peace)
Myst V: End of Ages (tech problem, couldn't finish game)
Riddle of the Sphinx (see Crystal Key)
Tropico: (kinda fun for a strategy game, but not my speed)
Ages of Mythology (same deal)
And beyond that, I seem to have another 46 52 games (forgot the Space Quest games) that I just haven't found time to install yet. Some really good ones, too, I hear. I've slowed right down on gaming, lately.
Gabriel Knight 3 (haven't started)
Escape from Monkey Island PS2 (Haven't started)
The Longest Journey (didn't have time to finish it, although I'm in chapter 3 or 4)
Discworld Noir PSX (haven't played it for some months, due to buying an x-box)

Lee,
why do you install new ones when there are so many not finished? Always hoping for a better one? ;)
I have one game installed but not finished: Sentinel. I keep it there for days I really just want to solve puzzles.
On my shelf waiting to be played are: Broken Sword, the shadow of the templars and Return to Mysterious Island. My sister recently gave me Atlantis the lost tales I've tried to install it but had some difficulty.
Discworld 2.
I'll get to it... sooner or later.
I Love Cookiemonster

I haven't even started:
Doom 3
DTM Race Driver

Deus Ex 2: Invisible War

Unreal 2
Chronicles of Riddik: Escape from Butcher Bay
All Tombraiders (Played the first 3 level of 2 though)
All Commando games (Played the first level)
Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction
Iron Storm
And i still have to finish lots and lots more.

Lee,
why do you install new ones when there are so many not finished? Always hoping for a better one? ;) Very good question. My only answer would be Time is Relative, and in my case, it's relatively messed up.
A number of those games were acquired, installed and played for a period of time at the end of last year and the beginning of this year. Some of them I really quite liked (others I loathed). However, I was having computer problems early in the year, and found myself laying out an obscene amount of money to upgrade to a new box that could handle the software applications I use for work.
At that time, there were a handful of games I wasn't finished playing, but had been so busy with work that I hadn't really touched them in a bit. And so, before the drive swapping, uninstalled anything that wasn't essential for backup. After intergrating the new computer into the studio, I stayed away from games for a little bit, until the bug bit me again, and I found myself thinking about designing games of my own once more.
I do often think that I want to reinstall and play some of those games again, but during the recent research phase, I got my hands on certain games that currently inhabit the computer, and while I could probably fit some more on there, it just seems silly to have so many games I won't let myself uninstall, when I'm not actively playing any games at the moment. I figure I'll force myself to finish a few of them before installing anything else.

Wow, I thought it was a bit odd for me to have a few games I never played, but I see I have practically none compared to some people here. Just the longest journey and dark side of tthe moon. As for non adventure games, let's see, deus ex, shogun total war, fallout, x - beyond the frontier, need for speed porshe unleashed and hot pursuit 2, x-com collector's edition, and x-wing. Although I think the last two don't count because I'm quite sure I'll never play them.

Just don't ask, too many games, and too many adventure games.
Here's something for example:
Still Life, Gabriel Knight 3, Darkseed, Darkseed 2, Blue Force, and about million others. I'm propably going to sell so many games that I've never played...

I finished all those games I mentioned in the opening post, except quake 4, gab knight 3 ( misplaced the CD's, it's here somewhere ), and I uninstalled rhem 2 never to darken my pc again. Not that it's rubbish, just too hard for me. Plus I only like nodal games that give me smooth 360 rotation, not static slide shows anymore :P

Syberia 2

Black & White 2: Battle of the Gods (expansion)
Legacy of Kain: Defiance
...
Legacy of Kain: Defiance is one of my favorite games ever! While the game plays similar to Soul Reaver II (a bit improved), the plot is simply awesome. It is a shame that the series will most likely never be concluded.
Quest for Glory 5...
Dreamfall...
Syberia...
Syberia II...
I think that's about it.

I got the entire Nancy Drew series (Except for the Paris one recently released)...
I still haven't started:
#11 - The Curse of Blackmoor Manor
#10 - The Secret of Shadow Ranch
#9 - Danger on Deception Island
#8 - The Haunted Carousel
#7 - Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake
#6 - Secret of the Scarlet Hand
Actually, I think I may take a break from them after I finish The Final Act, cause they are getting kinda samey and I'm in no race to finish them all quickly.
