I got myself the original boxed UAKM release for my collection of favorite games, so I'm giving away the Kixx release. The 3 CDs have some scratches but work fine. Booklet included. Free game, free shipping. I'll send anywhere in the world.

Post here if you're interested in this great :9 Tex Murphy :9 game.

I wouldn't dare to ask, having got a game from you already... but I loved the one Tex game I did play (Overseer), so, oops, I think my cursor slipped on the "submit" button. ;)

You're not too late, Lady Luck will decide.

Damn. I skipped over this thread when I first saw it, thinking, "why the hell would I want to read a discussion about a game I've never played and probably never will? I'll just get depressed." I'm an idiot.

If it's a pick-a-name-out-of-a-hat type giveaway then I'd love my name to be added, though there are almost certainly people more deserving :).

I could, and for once would have the chance, and would have good reasons too, but just to avoid hassle and since obviously people want it more than I do, I'll pass...

But at least for once I was in time, I think! :)

Hassle?? Eh... no, I'm not going to ask. :P

BTW, I'll probably offer one (or maybe even two, depends) more free game in the foreseeable future.

Heh, I feel a little guilty throwing my name out there too, seeming as I'm mostly a lurker, and post very seldomly as of late -- but not too guilty :P .

I've never managed to get my hands on a Tex Murphy game, but of course would love to eventually.

Thanks,
William

(PS: would it help if I said you'd be my hero forever if I get it ? ;) )

I'd like it too.

PS: My first post. I wanted to join the adventure gamers community for some time, but thought i didn't have time to check it every day. Now i decided because i think it's a cool fourm (and of course because i like adventures :P ).

Out of curiosity (and nothing else, in case you're wondering :) ), do you mind telling us how you chose?

I have the Kixx cardboard version, havent played it in a while seeing as i cant seem to get the game to run smoothly on dosbox.

I need to completed it aswell, i remember i kept being caught by a security eye device in an office block.

Lady Luck and I work together: she chooses within the limits of fairness which I determine. :D For instance, someone who has already won a game from me, gets his name in the hat only once. The majority gets their name in twice. Someone who has tried and tried and tried but never won one of my giveaways gets three pieces of paper with his name. Which worked for Robert this time. But the last time I gave away a game at JA, it went to the same person who'd won the previous game, even though I'd put his name in the "hat" only once. So Lady Luck lives up to her whimsical reputation. And she can take many forms. I once invited the neighbor's kitten to pick a name from the bowl. A great success, she got very excited by all the rustling pieces of paper. :)

It just goes to prove that I'm never going to win anything out of luck. :frown: ;)

I really need to get to these Tex Murphy games one day. I've tried Martian Memorandum, but, well, it's quite ugly and the interface is a nightmare (I finished it, though, somehow).
