I am desparately trying to play the Demo of Keepsake but my PC keeps telling me that my video drivers need to be updated. I have only recently purchased my PC in August 2005 there and the graphics cards etc are top notch as it was specifically geared for gaming. I do think though that I had a security system loaded onto my PC at Xmas as I played King Kong and it has not been right since - i.e. Still Life no longer loads (still not completed) and I am having trouble with this Demo.
Graphics hungry games like Sims 2 still work.
Can anyone tell me how to sort this out!?

Perhaps I have a solution.
I had a similar problem on me wife's laptop. It's a number of years old, and has an ATI based graphics adapter. Boneville ran rather badly with spikes all over the place and weird icicles sticking out of characters' eyes. So, to avoid having nightmares, I went searching for updated ATI drivers. The official ATI drivers were unsupported for our hardware, so I went and got some hack (forgot what it was called) that allowed me to install the latest drivers on this hardware.
It worked, Bone ran just fine, but then when I tried the Keepsake Demo, it complained about updating the drivers... so, further searching revealed yet another unofficial ATI-driver hack, and these ones seemed to do the trick... not only did the graphics performance shoot way up, but all the games now work fine.
Your scenario may be entirely different, but do go look at the Omega Drivers web page:

May solve you problem, may make it worse. :) Hey, it's just a suggestion.

What video card is in your system?
Graphics drivers are constantly being updated, so even if you bought the PC in November 2005, they will probably be out of date on your system. For example, Nvidia released new drivers on March 17th. I don't know about ATI though.

Hey thanks guys - I realise i need to go the my graphics card makers site and download new drivers. Phew - will get that done tonight - I'm 99% sure it is NVIDIA but I'll double check when I get home tonight.
Thanks again guys.
;)
That's interesting... I have an Nvidia card, and am using fairly old drivers, because the newest ones didn't work for several games (Out from Boneville, And Then There Were None, Indigo Prophecy... the list goes on :P). So, I am using some pretty old drivers, and I didn't get any message like that when I went to run the Keepsake demo. (But - it was the demo for the UK version. Has a North American demo been released? I've been out of town so I'm out of the loop.)
Of course, my computer's four years old, so I don't have the same Nvidia card you do. ;)
