Vampire The Masquerade; Bloodlines Ending

OK. I need to kill the chinese lady vampire at the end in the temple. But when I jump down into the waterwheel room and try and open the bar on the door, it won't let me use it! I have the icon at the bottom of the screen, and I'm pressing "e" like a madman, but no joy. I've also tried shooting it and nudging it with my body; no effect! Any help appreciated with this annoying bug!

as far as I can remember, you don't need to physically interact with anything there; the trigger is somewhere else. Maybe you've got to use a discipline or something.

But mind you, from all the possible endings of the game only one is truly "happy" and the path you have chosen is not it... Remember, in this game everybody wants to use/exploit you for their own ends so you can't really side up with anyone... I hope I didn't spoil the game ;)

Note: I recommend you installing the latest UNOFFICIAL patch, too:

I hated that section (and all the other respawning sections). I think I had to nudge the bar off the door, but it's been a while since I played it.
