That has got to be the most original title ever. :D

And the 2006 Award for Most Original Adventure Game Title goes to ... Future Games

EDIT: Bah, you beat me to it.

Very nice. :)

Shouldn't the title "Tale of Hero" really be "Tale of a Hero?"

Not unless his real name is "Hero"
:)

Like "Tale of Joe"

or it could read "Tale of Hero the Hero"

:D

If home page graphics and text legibility are indicative of the game's design, not something that interests me.

Prebobates (sp?) sounds a bit more interesting, overall. Despite the fact that it is apparently going to feature one of the most clichèd plot devices ever (amnesia. Uh-hum). I sure hope they will both turn out to be good. The best part of Black Mirror was its almost Hammer Studioesque atmosphere, but the actual game was never really on par with that. And the demo of Nibiru wasn't convincing at all, so that I never gave it a try.

Looks to take part mostly underwater, I guess this could turn out good, enjoyed TBM despite its (many) flaws, never played Nibiru though. Hope it doesn't turned out as cliched as it looks.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm just glad people are making point and click adventures after the scare I had seeing Sierra drop the genre and watching Lucasarts turn dominately to Starwars and watching Westwood follow the Command and Conquer route. I was losing hope for the genre to wake up and when the Adventure Company started producing *thank god

Well, we still have Revolution.

Yeah, sort of. Anyway there are a lot of developers doing AGs right now, I'm not as pessimistic as I was a year or two ago.

Well adventures games are getting lower in numbers every year...

Well there are 50 in AG's release dates database for this year (so far), though I admit some of them still don't have publishing deals. No idea how that compares to last year. I hope Future come up with a better name though. "Tale of Hero" really doesn't have any bite to it.

The Black Mirror. Nibiru. Prebobates. Tale Of Hero.
'Nuff said. :D

Still, I'd be more intrigued if they would start to do something interesting. Sure, that company shows some promise (pretty pictures and such). Now bring on some games!

It's Reprobates.

Perhaps something like Deep Blue or Oceanic or whatever might be a better title. I'm fairly sure we can come up with a more original title within a day.

Not to worry, TAC will rename it anyway.
Thanks for posting this avcho. It's on my game watch list.

Amnesia? I don't think I've read anything about Reprobates story, except that it's told in an "original way" and includes some scientific experiments. Link please? :)

Anyway, I'm in pretty much the same boat as you. Despite loving Black Mirror, it was hard for me to ignore that the game wasn't perfect, and Nibiru demo revealed some of the same flaws and wasn't half as interesting as far as atmosphere and visuals goes, so I passed on it. But I believe these guys are capable of great things, so I'm keeping my eyes open on both Reprobates and Tale of Hero.

Hero's Quest? Oh no, wait, that's taken. Twice. :D

Yupp, I think I've read it on a German site when the game got announced. In the beginning of the game people wake up at a house or something with no clue who they are or how they got there. My memory could fail me, though (it's been a while).

(Besides, thinking about it, the demo of Black Mirror was quite meh, too. Perhaps we should give Nibiru a shot one day. :) On the other hand, it's said to be short and I'm not really interested in the story whatsoever....)

Hehe, yeah, it's pretty bad.

That said, this is one game I can look forward to, as I loved The Black Mirror (and moderately appreciated NiBiRu).

I thought Nibiru was a great game. It was very well done. My main complaints were the extremely short playtime and one or two impossible logic puzzles.

I've always wanted to play Black Mirror, but I refuse to support games with StarForce. So most likely I will never play the game. Oh well.

BTW, there is a two page preview of Reprobates in the latest issue of Adventure Lantern:
