Ok so now that we can't discuss the hype surrounding BS3 itself, might as well talk about the upcoming AG review, eh? :)

I'm a little worried. See, even though BS3 wasn't as extremely revolutionary as everyone might have hoped or wanted, it was on the whole a solid game, and more than anything else (crate puzzles included), BS3's really "worked" for me as a game more than any of the recent AG's I've played. It has some shortcomings definitely, but it really got the feel right, and I think it is definitely the first true landmark (3rd person) (graphic) adventure game since Grim Fandango. I think a decent number of people agree with me.

So, that said, I'm willing to wager that in it's Adventure Gamers review, Broken Sword 3 will receive a lower score than Runaway (which got 4.5 out of 5 stars). That sort of hurts. That's not to say I think BS3 necesarilly deserves a 4.5 or above either, if you catch my drift. Cough.

Arguably I haven't played much of Runaway, but what I did play was such a turn off that I don't really know if I have to to form at least some opinion on it. That's all.

Anyway, anyone care to disagree? Anyone care to say anything? :)

I agree. No. Really.

Without having finished BS3 yet, I think a 4/5 would be fair, so that's (potentially) fine. However, I may or may not feel that AG has scored itself into a corner by giving Runaway 4.5. It's a good game, but not in the same league as BS3, which also scores extra points for being quite a bit more "revolutionary" or "evolutionary" . Quite a conundrum really.

So yeah, uh, what Jake said.

Probably 4/5 would be a good score for the game. :)
