I don't understand more of the german language than the minor similarities between Swedish and German, but I downloaded the demo anyway and first of all: the graphics is great! Music, character movement, etc seems very nice too! I want this game in English NOW! :-)

Scenes are beautiful (we knew that from the screnshots already), but... completely devoid of things to interact with. :frown: Judging from the demo, it's going to play like Syberia, perhaps with more interesting puzzles.
Also, the budget constraints show too much in some aspects. Although I didn't mind the set-of-stills cutscenes (they were charming, in fact), the fact that character models don't blend in with the backgrounds was harder to ignore.
I hope the story development makes up for it, but I won't hold my breath about it either, since
Zak's mystery must be the worst kept secret in history of AGs. I dare you to play demo and not guess the "plot twist" coming.
I really want to like Keepsake, but of recent demo releases (Scratches, And then there were none), this one strikes me as the least convincing to the full game.

That was one of the most annoying things with Syberia, itīs disappointing that Keepsake looks the same.:frusty: :\

Hope they fix this before the game is released.
When i played the game, Zak(the dog) started running around inside a wall.

Zak says he is a dragon who has been transformed into a dog, but heīs lying, right?

Hope they fix this before the game is released. The game is already out in German-speaking region, if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, and most likely he is a student who wanted to transform into a dragon, and the author of the notebook Lydia finds.

I can't tell you anything of the quality of the game yet. I have however seen some reviews in German magazines.
PCPowerplay gave Keepsake a pityful 58% (The female tester gave it a 61, and the male tester gave it a 55). For some reason they claimed the graphics to be "aged" (meaning they are not up to date). This one was just one page long.
Another magazine, GameStar, gave Keepsake 78 %, and even a double page review.

If you don't mind my asking, how do those reviews compare to those given to, say, Syberia, Still Life or The Moment of Silence?

I don't know, I haven't been buying computer magazines for a long time. Actually, I only just started buying them. But "GameStar" has a feathure "Better than/Worse than". For Keepsake they say Better than: Bone (which got 70 %) and Worse than: Moment of Silence (79%).

Worse than: Moment of Silence (79%).
But only just, apparently. :)

Finished the demo just now, and I'm sorry to say i'm not convinced this will be a good game. I have to agree with AFGNCAAP on his points mentioned above. Almost nothing to interact with, not even any hotspots to look at the scenery or anything like that. And that Zak character is going to be a problem. I hope he's less annoying in the english version. And he sits and walks funny as well. His movements are downright awful. Lydia is not actually a gracefull ballerina either. She turns as she was a 2D character (As does Zak). She even walked right through that bench/wall thing after finishing the monstergame. Maybe it was magic ! :P Hope they have polished up the full game a fair amount to put it mildly. Good thing is that my German hadnt completly abandoned me after years without practice.. :) Edit : Why doesnt the spaces i make the text appear ? Even after i edited..??
