Moment of silence - cursor and control help!!!!

Hi,

My computer seems to meet all technical specs for this game. However, the cursor control moves quite slowly all the way through, and I seem to lose control over it at some points when I click to eg open a drawer or look closely at a scene like outside the bedroom window. Any ideas?! It won't respond to me moving the mouse, and even starts moving around of its own accord at times! It is very frustrating and means I can't play the game.

I have the DVD version.

why don't you try to reinstall the game??

There's a patch for this game. Have you applied it? I'm not sure it will help with your problem, but it can't hurt to try.

It's been a while since I played this, but have you tried changing the various options in the game? Is turning off antialiasing one of the options?

Please tell us your computer specs, too.

This used to happen to me sometimes with my older computer. Like FOV said, definitely try turning off antialiasing if that is one of the options. And make sure you close any background programs that are running.
