I've run across a garfield game, sitting in a chair getting chewed out by John, he leaves, garfiled hits the tv remote, crash, Odie has trashed the house.
You get a vacuum cleaner attached to your back to clean things up.

I haven't figured out how to get the stuff from the vacuum to where they belong, and then there's the closed doors to other rooms. He jumps up, hangs from the handle for a second or two and drops.

I've found the Menu of options, and think it has all the options,

forward, back, left, right, jump kick, use [doorknob], vacuum, blow, suck, vacuum up, vacuum down, inventory next, inventory prvious, camera left, right, quest inventory. And this quest inventory looks like nothing but a few odd designs, stars, squares.

Actually just running garfield around and having Odie attack him was fun awhile. Climbing the stairs and hopping on everything, but those doors, and progress has come to an end.

I'm using XP pro 1 gig ram.
How do I get him to drop the stuff and open the doors, and whats the quest inventory ? Do I have the complete menus ?

Is this the fan-made Garfield game that has been banned from being distributed online? I haven't played it myself, but I'm pretty sure there are some people on the forums who have, and hopefully one of them will be able to answer your question :).

I gave all the info I know about it. He jumps on a doorknob hangs a moment, then drops.
And yes Odie Trashed the house and he has to clean it up.

Looking for more info on how to get the doorknobs to work, and drop what he's picked up. And if there's more commands, need them also.

Oh! I have that game! I can help you out!

I'm pretty sure you can access the menu to change or simply see the buttons that are used in the game...

You can ONLY put the item in the exact place it belongs or the storage boxes where you save the game, there is one next to the main stairs...

You can only open certain door after cleaning a certain room COMPLETELY! That includes tidying painting and other things by sucking them until they fall in place...

Then you'll get a key that opens one of the doors, where you'll find more items to tidy up....

You shouldn't worry about the time limit, it's more than enough time to do everything in the game twice at least...

I still vaguely remember a few thing, so I might be able to help a little more...

I went and captured it to a jpg for fast reference. Just wondered if there was more to it than I'm seeing.

You can ONLY put the item in the exact place it belongs or the storage boxes where you save the game, there is one next to the main stairs...

Ok so how do I 'PUT' the item in the right place ? I see the thing in the inventory, I've found the ghost needing the item, and I've hit blow, and all I do is wear out my blow finger.

Storage boxes where you save the game ??? I'll give that a try and see what happens.

I sorta figured that since I think I spent more than an hour the 1st try, and got no where.

Just need some more answers to the above, but may have enough to get started. But putting the stuff in place hasn't hap[pened so far. Does the vacuum need to be full b4 you can blow ?
I went with rotating the items until what I wanted to blow was facing me.

Nope, you don't even have to rotate, I think, if you have the right item and you are in the right place, it will select the item automatically...

Actually, if you chose another item, and them point around with the vaccum, you know you've hit the right spot when the item changes...

Well there may be something wrong with it. I've found I can't grab anything else if the vacuum has all 4 things filled.

Only thing I've actually been able to put back in place is a dish, and a rabbit head wall plaque. Still haven't figured out what to do with the puzzle pieces, and can't find a save option. It doesn't exist on that menu I showed you. And quit has 2 options, yes or no.
The option to load old game exists.

Ok, go to the room with the stairs that lead upstairs, right next to it you'll find some sort of big box or container of sorts...

I can't remember which button you have to press to use it, but you use this box not only to save the game, but to store items that you don't need (for now) from the vaccum...

You really can't miss it, it's to the right of you when you exit from the kitchen if memory serves me well...

Aha, stairs threw me. It's the huge box next across from the guitar..
Things are now moving. Slowly, but moving. He's just too short and dumpy without fingers to do much.
The button is the 'USE' button. You get '?' marks next to things you can use. I haven't figured out how to stick the globe in place..

That game was pretty sweet, a good looking Garfield adventure game.
I would have probably loved it if not for the fact that i f***ing hate the comic.

It got banned, eh?
I´m not surprised, the creator of Garfunkel Garfield, Jim Davis, is a greedy bastard. :D

As silly as this sounds, the stupid thing needs a walkthrough. You can have 3items on you, 1 in the hold, and I'm thinking 58 puzzle pieces.

I've opened 2 bedrooms upstairs, the cheese in the fridge adds a checkmark to the cheese in one of the sub menus with 4 items.
Other items look like a pork chop, a jar of pickles, and ???
Nothing left in the fridge to remove.

And we're stuck at this point. I grab the scales in the den, but nothing happens [last item to clean up the den].

Clean up the downstairs hall and you get inundated with puzzle pieces everywhere. I think there were 4 of them.
Haven't found a use for the puzzle pieces [need 58 of them] or the 4 stars and 5 red thingy's on the other sub menu.

The 2 bedrooms are chock full of things needing replaced.
Only items I've found to pick up, go to rooms not yet opened.
Basement, bathroom, garden, game room.
And I'm guessing there's even more rooms cause there's a lot more doors.

I wrote a sort of walkthru to get to this point. If you have stuff for rooms that aren't open yet, you lose the vacuum if you fill up all the empty 3 slots to carry and the 1 storage, and the puzzle pieces.

Well if you've made it further than this let's hear how !

If you didn't get a key or some puzzle pieces, that you have missed something, like putting the painting back in place...

The puzzle pieces are for a mini-game in the games room, you need about 50 to play it...

You need 4 items to replace the lasagna Odie ate before Jon comes back, the cheese is in the fridge, Nermal has the pasta, the meat is in the freezer in the basement, and Arlene has the tomate sauce, she's the one who wants you to pick up flowers (the other thing that appears in the menu)...

Frankly, this games isn't hard at all, making a walkthrough isn't necessary at all, because like I've said before it's pretty straight foward, Garfield usually says where the item goes when you pick it up, and it's usually pretty easy to figure it out anyway...

Remember you can push and pull some items to help you reach certain areas...

Yeah I've made it past the push and pull, The one in the kitchen has me confused, it sits by the fridge, and you can't jump from there to the top of the fridge, and it only moves to the center of the room.

If you didn't get a key or some puzzle pieces, that you have missed something, like putting the painting back in place...

I wish it were that simple. The den's pretty void of anything. Cleaned it up simple by removing the scales as the last items. And nada.

That sounds right, it shows xx/58 every time I get a piece.

That's what's driving me crazy. There's little thinking involved. And still stuck with no more storage room, and needing pieces that aren't yet available.

You'll see Nermal and Arlene outside, I think the reason that you haven't progessed yet is that you haven't tried using the vaccum on the kitchen drawers, you'll pull them out and then you can climb on them!

Remember try to use the vaccum and suck and blow on everything, you never know what might happen!;)

Here's the tab delimited walkthru I made. Someting I never noticed before was on the downstairs cabinet, it has a plant, a clock, and the kleenex box at the end.

But backtracking, I'm jumping on everything, and he sees something else between the clock and the plant. But there's no ghost there as a hint to what it is. It would/should be something very tiny, or thing to fit between the plant and the clock.

How this one works, is the item's 1st location is location, then item description, and 'goes here' which should only be used once the room appears in the left column. You can find stuff for the left column in open rooms, that go no where but clogging the vacuum and requiring a restart until you clean all the rooms on the left.
If the item appears, but the room doesn't, don't touch it [yet].

2 keys, and 4-5 puzzle pieces from cleaning the hallway downstairs [so what's with this other thing garfield still sees there ?]

If it's missing in 'goes here', it's cause he didn't say where, or I learned earlier not to touch yet. Or possibly a typo. A phone below, goes in his bedroom from the util room.

It's far from finished, just as far as I've made it so far.

There is:
-Garfiled Caught in the Act for PC and Genesis, were Garfield get trapped in his TV...

-Garfield's Winter Tail, for 8bit and old computers, where Garfield dreams of a winter wonderland and a chocolate factory...

-Garfield's Big Fat Hairy Deal, also for old 8 bit computers, where you rescue Arlene (Or was it Odie?) from the pound, it played a bit like the Dizzy games if memory serves me well...

-Garfield,the one we are talking about here, some call it "Garfield, the movie" since it was released when the movie was...

-Garfield, the Search for Pookie (GBA)

-Garfield 2: Arlene's Rescue, apparently the sequel to the game mentioned here...

Hi, I am wondering if anyone knows anything on the PC game just called Garfield, developed by HIp Games. It is the one where Jon leaves the house and Garfield decides to take a nap, during which time he is awoken by a CRASH! to find Odie has destroyed the house.

Well so far I have managed on my own and I have cleaned 3 rooms effectively including paintings and got puzzle pieces. I have cleaned the den, which gave me a key to Jon's bedroom, , I've cleaned the hallway area which gave me puzzle pieces and the utility room which gave me a key to the upstairs bedroom I only have two more items to collect to clean the living room and two more for Jon's bedroom as well as two more for the small bedroom.

I was wondering if anyone could remember this game and has any help to help me find these items so I may be able to open/acess other rooms.

It's the game we are talking about, it's pretty straight foward since Garfield usually comments something about the item when he picks it up, and that usually hints about where it goes...

All I can say is what I've said before, you can push item to gain access to higher ledges and even climb some things...

Just search every area, vaccum everything suspicious and you'll get through...;)

Ok Well as I have said before, I have manged to clean the utility room, the den, the hallway, I'm one item off cleaning the small bedroom (it looks like a small suitcase), one item of cleaning Jon's bedroom (alarm clock) I think and I am one off the living room, something that goes on the coffee table. I know you are all saying he says where items go, and that is true, but where are these items as I can't get to other rooms and i have vacuumed every drawer and cupboard in every acessible room and to my avail nothing.

I did discover though that if you use the W or X key when in the big brown box submenu, the same one in the hallway where you save, you can move one square along and insert more items. i.e. the items which you have yet to place in a room such as the trumpet for basement the towel for the bathroom etc. so far I have put about six items in this inventory. All I need is one or two hints to finding one of the above items mentioned and then I can hopefully continue, and please I BEG you DON"T TELL ME TO VACUUM EVERYTHING as I wouldn't be here, had I not already done that as well as jumping on every available ledge.

Thanks!! :P

You pretty much answer your own question........you are missing the TV remote in the living room....it's behind one of the closet door in Jon's room, ....it's hard to open, you gotta get the right angle and all for the vaccumm to open the door.

Trying to clean the attic up, so that Clive would help me, but my vaccumm keeps dying after putting 3 items in one cabnet.....One time, I had 8 out of 9 done with over 30 secs left and my dam vaccumm died. Can someone tell me what will happen after I finish this task....is it worth my while?

Also, I finished the outside garden (didn't do the Nermal task), the game gave me a key, but the greenhouse, and the last room upstairs is still locked. (No change)......do I have to do the Nermal task before something unlocks?

I got the same bug, I think Clive just gives you some puzzle pieces if you win, you don't need to do so, because I beat the game without winning this mini game....

Nermal has one of the ingredients for the lasagna...

You can climb the drain pipe to access a new area too...

Ya I just finished Clive too, it's said "well done" and when I hit the space bar...it asked if I wanted to try again, or quit.....man am I pissed.

Right now I'm stuck....the green house and one of the "bedroom" upstairs is still locked....all I have is the boomerang for the attic, which I can't climb up to put back.....I'm really stuck.

The only thing left is Nermal, but every time Garfield drinks a coffee, he takes off, I don't know if it's my graphic card or what, but he becomes so small, that I'm constantly hitting "a" to bring my computer up to speed to where Garfield is, thus causing me to loose a little time, just enough to not to be able to keep up with Nermal.....and when I loose too much time/speed, Odie gets in my way, cause he is in front of me.....I noticed that I don't have to stay on coarse...just enough to go through all the turn style.....this is the only way I can keep up with Nermal, and maybe pass Odie.

I tried kicking Nermal....the function works, but I had no luck in kicking that dam cat.....thought if I did, I would win the race easy. :D

Cheers

The puzzle pieces are for playing a mini game in the game room, you do NOT need to find all of them!

The only thing that I never got a reward from is the pantry or kitchen, the pantry I’m sure I completed it with the 3 missing items, the kitchen only have the calendar to fix, all items have been placed back…..I made the lasagna, and the big lasagna shows up…but if I leave the Kitchen…its disappears…therefore, I came to a conclusion, that this should be the last step in the game……I go upstairs and built the puzzle in the mini game…but after doing it 3 times, I get no reward. I tried the console game in the game room….I got a high score on the game, but got no reward….can’t figure out where the last 3 puzzle pieces might be……or what I am missing…..I let the time run out to see what happens, and it asked me to start over again.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

If you completed the lasagna and didn't get the ending, then you must have missed something...

Don't worry about the puzzle pieces, if you go to the game room and stand on the table you'll find a puzzle game, use it to play the puzzle mini game... You should have enough to play it...

The objective of the game is to bake a new lasagna to replace the one Odie ate AND clean the house, so if one single item is out of place you won't win...

All I can say is that you should try to remember which rooms you have not gotten anything for completing them, the outdoors and greenhouse count as well...

In other words... Pixel hunt...:P

Garfield_game

My eyes are red shot from pixel hunting.....I got a reward for every room, including outside the house and the green house. The only room I never got a reward is the kitchen and/or pantry....there is nothing to move in the pantry, and I replaced all 3 items in the pantry....but nothing happened when I replaced the 3 items.....so concluded that both the kitchen and pantry is considered one room.

Kitchen, I didn't replaced the pasta, and the sauce yet,....but when I do, the clocks keeps going...so something is wrong....but what it is, is beyond me.

I think it might be easier to start from the begining and write down what I did, so I don't miss a step....cause I have the slightest clue what went wrong.

I'll post my results after the weekend :P

Thanks for the help

Are you talking about the same game as we are?

Jon doesn't appear until the end of the game in this one....
I thought we were talking about the fan game-attack of mutant lasagna?

Tanukitsune,

Just finished doing Garfield from the start, and still have the same problem….the clock keeps going after making the lasagna…..but I think I know what’s the problem might be……I think it’s the antenna outside on the roof…..I vacuum it and it’s not 100 percent level, it’s a little crooked still……do you get a reward, or does Garfield say something when it is fix.....cause nothing happened when I straighten it.....this game, and the last one.

Thanks

All I need to know is where is the 3rd Daf, got the 1 by tree, & the one on tresel by roof. Not sure where 3rd one is.
Also the marble in greenhouse for attic, can't get it off table. A box of apples need to be placed there but I think they in last room.

Any help will be appreciated.

I remember the apple crate being over a fence, outside...

I think you missed the flower in the garage...

The next flowers you have to find are all over the house, inside and outside, so look carefully...

Garfield_game
12-30-2005, 07:46 AM
The apple crate is needed for completing the "green house"....I've done that, and I finished finding all the flowers (need that for the sauce)......EVERYTHING is complete, unless I missed something in the kitchen, which is not inventory related....the only thing that have to be cleaned up is the calandar.

Can't clean the water spill by the kitchen sink ;)

The only other thing that could cause this problem is the antenna outside....I got the "outside" quest without adjusting it.

Before posting yesterday, I played with the antenna......it goes in all direction....therefore, I'm just wondering if the game tells me if the antenna tells me when the dam thing is adjust correct, or is it like all the pictures in the house, hit it with the vaccum, and it self adjust, and that's it.

For everyone who is reading this post.....this game is really "video" card sensitive....with all the 3D rendering needed.....64MB video card is nearly a must, otherwise, you can't do the Nermal quest.....trust me, I spent hours trying to win the race and couldn't, when I switch over from my laptop to a desktop comptuer....I won instantly.

As I mentioned this game was not tested very well before it was released to the public......I'm guessing that this game is a lot better on a PS2 than a PC, cause at least with a PS2, the hardware is standard.

Well if I can't get the game to end soon, I'll just call it and say I did finished it. :D

Thanks for the help, and Happy New Year

I'm actually playing this game on PS2. Will go & find apple crate & Daf now. Will let you know if I do it.

Thanks again.

Maybe if you go back to the 2nd page of this thread, and grab the semi walkthrough I made, you can add to it showing what you did to get to your point in the game, and get some of us that gave up ages ago to catch up to you, and maybe luck into a solution.

I'd say this thing really does need a walkthru, because the game ends if you fill up the storage box, and can't carry anything else.

You guys still stuck after 4 months :)

I did finished the game, it was the dam clock in the kitchen that need to be adjusted.

Cue stick is outside it's just sitting (leaning) on the side of the house....anvil I think it's on top of Odie's dog house (the roof)....and the dumb bell is on the porch, and the weight is in the front of the house on the ROOF, you can climb up to the roof with one of the pillars at the front of the house.

Getting the TV remote from Johns closet opened up a lot more things. Still indoors and ran out of things to pick up. Everything I have on hand now [3 storage lockers so far, 1 in game room, 1 in basement, and 1 in 1st floor hallway] is for rooms I can't access yet.

Here's an updated walkthru. If you see something missing, fill it in.

Thanks!! :P

I just added some more to the walkthru, but I haven't found any flowers or the towel you mention.
See the new walkthru I just posted.
still not finished. still indoors and many rooms still locked indoors.

Check the small room upstairs....I looked at your walk thru, and I can tell you, from memory...it's been a while since I've played...but the next key you should get is to the front (and back) door....to go outside.

Check the 3 sombrero and make sure you move them......tell me if there is something missing (a shadows) in the small room...I'm pretty sure that is the problem, valcuum the pictures in the room just in case

the game room you need the cue stick which is outside. The basement needs the dumb bell, and the weight, which is outside...the garage I know needs something outside and/or the attic.

SMALL ROOM is the problem

Garfield_game
04-14-2006, 11:29 PM
The "race car" you got from the living room, that goes to the games room...look at the track that goes around the pool table.....go towards the juke box, and you will see the shadow for the race car.

cbminfo
04-15-2006, 06:21 AM
there's 2 cars, a remote control, goes to the basement top shelf. The track car comes from the living room, and goes to the game room. Just can'trecall where I got the remote control, but maybe it was just out of place in the garage.

There's lots of ghosts still inside. But everything I've collected goes to a garden or the attic. cept the rubber chiken. I have no idea where that goes. And garfields hint was no use.

Also a hat supposedly for the attic [still locked].
A large vase, a flower vase, bird house, cone or funnel, weight scale [bathroom],

every picture and wall hanging vacuumed and moved. Small room has no shadows left.

aha addition to small room. there's 2 out of whack sombreros. large sombrero gets key.

Garfield_game
04-15-2006, 09:33 AM
the remote car you got that from the Garage, and it goes to the attic.

Looks like you got the key from the small room....you should be able to go outside now....you're back in the race now :)

rubber chicken goes to the attic as well.

I made it outdoors and into the attic, Rounding up windups with a mouse to stick in an open shelf doesn't do much for rounding them up. I haven't even been able to get 2 into any shelf at the same time. And beating Odie and Nerml in a race around the house 3 times will never happen.
I'm on a new game with the walkthru now. But some things are actually harder it seems. last game I had no trouble walking on the fence to get into the neighbors yard, now can't make 2 steps without walking off.

catching those windups, Garfield has quit turning in the right direction. So they get dropped every time he turns into something.

Just posting the current walkthru, so next posts will be simpler, but just adding where I left off.
I know of the room on the 2nd floor between game room and Johns room is still locked. The outdoor gardens still locked.
What are the items on the 2nd sub menu ?
3 yellow stars, 4 red ???'s, 5 silver stars on the D key
quest inventory ? Can't say I've ever seen that change.

I've modified the walkthru a bit, but it's too large to post here, 10,000 characters max, I'll post where I left off in the next message with the new format.

OK, got the key to the outside and managed finally to beat nermal, but cannot find where the security light or the vase go. Cannot see any shadows anywhere. Also know there are things in the greenhouse but have picked up everything that moves in the garden and no key to the greenhouse. any clues?

cbminfo

where in the attic does the boomerang go ?
how do you beat nerml ?
you'll have to more specific about a vase. There's a red vase that goes to the left of the porch. right side as you're facing the house. next to the steps.
Not so much a vase as what looks like a fertilizer bag on the side of the house across from the barbecue.

Security light, is that the huge silver rectangle thing in the attic on the board to the tire ?

everything that moves in the garden ? I must be missing something. I just had a pumpkin to stick there. Did I mention the apple crate from the neighbors yard ? No idea where it goes, but suspect it goes to the garden.

Purekejo
04-19-2006, 09:40 AM
Don't know where the boomerang goes, where did you find it?
The vase is the red one that I think was over the kitchen sink. Yes the security light is the big silver thing, do you know where it goes?
The pumpkin looks to be in the greenhouse but can't get in, I can see where it goes in the pumpkin patch. To beat nermal you have to start by pressing go as the start counts down and then try and get as many mugs as you can. Unfortunately what it does not tell you is that you have to beat odie as well. It took us about six attempts, don't worry if you go out of the cones, that doesn't matter.

Oh my god there is a lot questions:

boomerang is found in the washroom....it does go in the attic...It's on top of the box....look where the 2 closet door....the one that has a skeleton in it....now behind you there is box that you can move...if you jump on that box and look left.....a box with a lid that is crooked....you will see the boomerang....you must jump onto the corner of the lid...from there you can put back the boomerang

vase it goes outside (in the front) on the right hand side of the staircase

Security light....you got to climb on the roof (front of the house) and you will see it on the edge of the right hand side of the roof....there is a trick on how to get in on....but I won't ruin the game.....there is also a CHEAT method on how to get these items EASY without jumping for the items.

The board with the yellow red and blue flowers....you must collect to get the sauce...you won't be able to do that until you put the security light back into place, so you can jump to the other side of the roof.
From there, everything will make sense.

Don't waste your time with putting the toys away in the attic, the quest will only give you puzzle pieces.

To beat nermal, when you race to the back yard, you will noticed that the next "point" you need to go thru is like more than half way to the left...CHEAT, and as soon as you past the "point" on the side of the house, go left...and aim for the other point......you will shave off a lot of time, and catch up without the mug. Please note, this q is next to impossible to do if you do not have a fast enough video card....I can't complete this q on my laptop, but have no problems with a desktop computer.

Garfield_game
04-20-2006, 07:17 PM
Btw guys, when you finish the outside you will get puzzle pieces....the next room that you will finish to get a key will be the garage.....but to be able to do that you will need to put back the security light back on.....so you can jump to the other side of the roof.

DO NOT READ IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW THE CHEAT.

OK, to get the security light and the other item on the box (can't remember what it was).....with the PC game......go to the chest, and make sure you clear 2 spaces in your inventory.....SAVE your game......now after you saved your game, when you hit the vaccumm , hit "E" and the vaccumm will point up.....stand underneath both items and suck it in......once you've done that....go back to the chest and save the game, now exit the game and re-start it....the vaccumm will be back to normal, and you have both items without jumping like a mad cat.

To place the security light back on, go to the roof....go the edge as close as possible and make Garfield face in about 15-25 degrees...so a slight angle towards the edge. hit the "s" button, hit space to jump, and keep doing this and Garfield will line himself up...and the light will go back on.

Garfield can't jump that far or high. He can jump high enough to see the boomerang, he can see it standing on the box, but so far I have to agree with that guy, how do you get garfield on the boomerang box ?

Security light....you got to climb on the roof (front of the house) and you will see it on the edge of the right hand side of the roof....there is a trick on how to get in on....but I won't ruin the game.....there is also a CHEAT method on how to get these items EASY without jumping for the items.

Been on both roof's front and back, and I can't find any light outline. Or do I need to find an access in the attic to the top of the house ?

Not real sure what you mean easy cheat to get these items. Getting the boomerang and light is no problem, but spraying them and finding them is.
I've found the boomerang outline, but not the lights.

Please note, this q is next to impossible to do if you do not have a fast enough video card....I can't complete this q on my laptop, but have no problems with a desktop computer.

cbminfo

to beat nerml, actually you have to beat nerml or Odie. Or it would seem an unknown runner.

I've used all the cheats, found the best way is to pace yourself, avoid the jumps, hug the side of the house best you can, remember where the mugs are and get each mug.
Reason I mention this unknown racer, I followed all the above, and had both Odie and Nerml behind me. And it looked as though Nerml jumped on my shoulders just before the turn into the finish line. And as I passed under the flag, it said I lost...
Nothing passed me.. Guess just need to work a bit more.

When the game first start....the screen shows you the front of the house....it has the secruity light on, that will tell you where it goes.

The boomerang, takes some practice.....you will need to adjust the 3D view....so that you get garfield facing the corner of the box lid....try and jump for that corner.....once you're on, hit z or a to readjust the 3d view and replace the boomerang

You need to beat both Odie and Nerml ......I have no clue why you didn't complete the quest.....just try again.

cbminfo
04-26-2006, 04:33 PM
I got the light put in place. Added a buncha stuff to my walk thru from the different roof's.

I'll have to replace the boomerang, you can't finish the game without replacing the goodies.

I keep seeing something on the 2 boards behind the hat rack, to the left of the paint cans. Looks like a door knob or a rock. I suppose that's somewhere in the hot house ?

Also beating that race is a necessity also. can't finish making the lasagna without it.
But like I said about the only way I can see to win that race is to keep odie and nerml in view till the very end, then pass them.

Garfield_game
04-27-2006, 07:48 AM
No you will NOT win the race that way....you had it the first time, you must take the lead right away, and make no mistake.....if you have another computer, you might want to copy the "saved" game from your computer onto the other computer (load the game) and try doing the race on that.

The item you're talking about is the "baseball", and yes it's in the green house.....don't forget you can climb to the very TOP of the roof of the house from the back of the house.

cbminfo
04-27-2006, 12:59 PM
Well I did find a way to get the boomerang in place. There's NO WAY garfield can jump that distance. Attempting to jump that distance just wastes time. All you need to do is be able to see the boomerang from the box, then just spray till he says he's going to have fun with that boomerang.

I hope beatnig that race hands you a key to the greenhouse, cause other than catching all those toys, that's the only 2 things I think I have left to do, and there's no way I'll catch all those topys.

FWIW: If you want to see all the movies including the final with John, you can find them in the garfield game folder, and play them 1 by 1. I don't remember any movies with Arlene in them.

Garfield_game
04-27-2006, 01:11 PM
Winning the race will give you the lasagna pasta, which you need to complete the game.....you need all 4 items to make the lasagna.....the beef in the freezer in the basement, the cheese in the refrig in the kitchen, the lasagna pasta by winning the race, and the sauce by getting all the flowers for Garfield girlfriend.

You're nearly completed the game.

Garfield_game
04-27-2006, 01:13 PM
To open the green house outside, you need to complete the Garage.....the only thing that was missing was the saw by Garfield's Girlfriend. get that and replace that....that should give you the key.

an easy tip for collecting all the toys is to do 1 group at a time for eg. collect all the monsters then all the robots then all the cars. if you do it one group at a time the doors shut on that group so that they cant get out again otherwise they will all start to come out again after youve put them in, you dont get a key just lots of jigsaw pieces

Help does anybody know where to find the red roses and blue type star flowers are, I have found all the dafs and 3 red roses (one in the larder and 2 up the attic. I have looked in every room and searched the garden and cant find the 4th.

Garfield_game

Forth rose is on the roof....you will have to go the front of the house....climb up, jump across to the other side.....then walk all the way to the back of the house and climb up to the top of the roof....on the right hand side of the roof you will find the 4th rose.

how do we use the brown box?

cbminfo
05-11-2006, 03:11 PM
These are storage boxes. There's 3 of them 1 upstairs in game room, 1 in hall on 1st floor, and 1 in basement. Garfield can only carry 3 items plus puzzle pieces. Store all you won't be using immediately in these boxes.

When you get near an item [door knob, brown box, step ladder, boxes, etc..] you see a Question mark. Here you 'USE' the item.

hit F1 and get the blue help screen for how the keys are defined. IIRC you use CTRL when you get a question mark. then you USE that item.

CBMINFO:

You will need to pick up the secuirty light in the attic, then go on the roof from the front of the house.

Place back the secruity light back in place....now you can jump to the other side of the roof.

You can jump to Arlene, and you will see the circular saw that goes back in the garage. Once that is place back, you will get the key to the green house.

At the same time, once you talk to Arlene, the flower quest will begin.

Nono >"< I've actually read your walkthru, but it doesn't have much: as you said , I'd find the pool cue in outside shady, but where is this place?? I cant open anymore doors, I can't enter any room. I also can't get out to the garden. All the room I've opened and walked in are: John's bedroom, small bedroom, game room, den, kitchen, store room, utility room, the garage, the living room, the basement. Those r all ;(

Aggghhh totally disturbing. I just beat Odie and Nerml, the race ended the moment I made it under the flag. And it said you lost, play again..

I don't see how you can take the lead. Odie's faster than Garfield. You can have half a yard length lead, and Odie' nails him every time.

I still need to find the 4th red rose. I´ve got
1. from the roof
2. from the stairs in front of the attic door
3. Inside the attic

Someone said in this forum "you´ve one in the roof, two in the attic and one in the stairs" but I just can find this lat flower...

I´m playing the PC version and I can´t finish the Clive´s game due to the vacuum bug, but it seems it is not essential for the game.

Thx

Nevermind, I´ve just got it !
So here´s the location of the flowers:

Yellow:
1 - Front garden
2 - garage (over a box)
3 - Porch roof

Red:
1 - Roof (at the very top, near the TV antenna)
2 - Stair in front of the attic door
3 - Attic
4 - Den (in a corner)

Blue:
1 - Basement
2 - Game room
3 - Living room
4 - Glass house in the garden
5 - Garage

You get the lasagna sauce and then you can finish the game ! Thx God, I can now go back to my life.

I have succesfully picked up this car just stand a bit away from it and point your vacuum downwards, once you have it avoid all obstacles as they will knock the item out of your suction.

I have now completed the attic apart from the marble which is in the greenhouse, is that also where the rubber duck for the bathroom is?
How do you get the key to unlock the greenhouse & when does Arlene arrive on the scene so I can start picking the flowers for her?
I have under 30 minutes left & really don't want to start all over again, please help

If you go to gamefaqs.com they usually have walkthroughs that tell you the buttons to the game. That might be of help if you haven't figured everything out already.

My lil sis has this game, it's funny for a while, but kinda lacks the Garfield humour. Shame really, I'd like to see a proper Garfield 3D platformer. He deserves it.

The only walkthrough on this game, is this thread. I'm not fast enough to beat Nerml or Odie, or there's a glitch in my copy of the game. I've seen myself beat them in the race, and then get the banner you lost.
I posted an updated walkthrough several times in this thread, till I quit fiddling with it.
I had a saved file from someone else, after the race was run and won.
From what I understand you don't need to finish Clives game, to finish the game. And you don't need all the puzzle pieces either. That's another game.
Only thing you need to do is get all the lasagna ingredients and win the race with Nerml and Odie.

As I recall, you need to stand about 2 steps back from the cabinet, centered in front of one of the doors, then press the "vacuum up" button until the door starts shaking. You need to be facing the cabinet directly (not sideways). This is where the tie from the Games Room belongs.

2. How do you vacuum up the towel on the drawing board in the den? Where do you stand??

3. How do you vacuum up the picture under the table in the living room? (again, standing problems...)

4. Which pot in the kitchen are the walkthroughs referring to? The one bubbling or the ones in the sink?

5. How do you vacuum up the cheese in the fridge? (again standing...)

6. Apparently there is a clock in the utility room?

7. Where is the book in the kitchen that the walkthrough refers to?

8. Where is the pot in the kitchen that the walkthrough refers to?

THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOO much for your help!! I am going completely crazy here!!!
