I need to retrieve a DNA sample from Tyrell's office for the twins, but whenever I climb the vent shaft to the Tyrell Building a cop is there and arrests me.

I've searched for the solution and I've found on a few sites instructions telling me to go through the door north in the screen before the ladders that lead to my apartment, then head north up that passage, but once I'm in the passage there is nowhere for me to go except back out...so what am I to do?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :D

Maybe this explanation will be helpful:

TYRELL'S CHAMBER: To reach Tyrell's building, locate the exit in the lab between the entrance and the stairs to the right. Then climb up the ladder in the next room. Once there, take the airconditioning duct up to Tyrell's Lobby. :9

Here's another description of what to do:

From the twins, exit the door under the light, climb the tall ladder and SAVE! Climb the short ladder and quickly enter the elevator behind the guard. :)

Thank you for your response. However it does not help me. I cannot duck into the elevator as, once I have climbed the air duct, I can no longer control my character; he is merely arrested.
Does anyone know if I have missed something, or if there is another way to gain access to the lab other than the air duct?

I found that I got arrested as you describe if I went up the shaft, then went down for any reason, and tried to get back up. The 2nd time up is when the cop just auto-appears. I would suggest going back to before the whole sequence with the twins and redoing to make sure you've only gone up once, because you only get the one chance.
