Has anyone who has this managed to turn on blur effects? My computers pretty high spec and this isnt really that new a game so I would have expected to be able to run it with full graphics :frown:

Also i seem to be having some sound issues, starts of sentences crackling and bits cutting out, Eike at one point said

does anyone know if there are any patched out for this game?

I think there is a patch for the European version (Shadow of Memories), but I don't know exactly what it does. It helps with win98 and winME issues, I think.

As for blur effects... don't know if I ever tried that. Is it one of the in-game options? I will try it in a bit and see if I can get it to work. I have the US release, but I can't imagine it would be different. As for sound problems... nope, I didn't experience anything like that. :frown:

The blur options, etc is just another stupid Konami screw up. It seems new computers cant enable it, while older ones can. My old TNT2 could do 1024x768 with all options, yet newer geforces, it seems the games disables everything. shrug. Thats konami and PC games for you.. no support.

I had minor sound problems with my onboard ac97, but that was only with the jogger. He could be on the other side of the town, and I would still hear his breathing. heh. Never had the crackiness.

I believe the EURO patch only addressed windows ME, so if you run ME, you could try it. its on 3dgamers.com somewhere I believe.

Yes, i even have screenshots from 1024x768.

But as hard as I try, I cant get 1024x768 to work with newer cards.. Hex editing cfg file does nothing. :( And of course I gave away my tnt2 ages ago. :-(

A simple question, are there any differences between the PS2 version and the Xbox version, besides the obvious (faster loading, slightly better graphics)?

Im not sure if this is a bug or not.....

When you come to the burning house and talk to the crying kid..after selecting "ok ill try and help" are you supposed to suddenly appear in the house, cough, die, appear in limbo, time travel, and appear again in the house is if you didnt just die?

It felt kinda displaced but i dont know, maybe im just missing something...

Im really considering on buying this for the xbox or ps2 :frown:

Yes, that's what's supposed to happen. Except after you appear there the second time

You can use your digipad to travel back in time.

Yeah i knew i could do that..it just didnt feel very smooth
It doesnt even show up walking to the door and anything, and why was he brought back to life that time but any other time you die its game over? it would have made more sense if you went in and the digipad went, and if you dont use it in time THEN you die and get game over, then again that could be what was supposed to happen and its just a bug screwing things up

Still havent fixed the sound problems :frown: the troubleshooter says i should turn off my hardware acceleration but that didnt help atall...

Try browsing the installed dir\works\conv and looking for the .wma files and just playing them with windows media player and see if they are choppy in WMP.

If so, maybe a codec problem? I believe the cd has the codec exe on it, but for some reason, I can not see WinXP not having the .wma codec. shrug.
