*** POSSIBLE PUZZLE SPOILERS (but probably not) ***

Hi, I'm completely stuck in this game. I wandered around for 2 hours before consulting a walkthrough. I'm currently on Chapter 5. I've done everything listed in the chapter 5 section, and no luck. A few chapters ago, I met up with Emily Brent and she mentioned a parachute. At that time, I did not give her the silk or the needles (as it said to in the walkthrough). Now everyone is off doing their own thing, and I can't talk to anyone. I can't give Emily any of the tools required to build the parachute, there's nothign else I can do.. did I ruin my game by not giving her those parts back when I should have? She's just sitting in her rocking chair on the front porch sewing something and I can't talk to her. Vera is in the library and I can't talk to her either. Two other guys are sitting at the fireplace (I forget their names). Can't talk to them either.

I can't think of what else to do. :\
Any ideas?

A similar thing happened to me in chapter 1 or 2... I never got to listen to the "Hello" record. I didn't see the switch on the record player at first so I just took the record and vacuum tube.. and never got to hear the hello side of the record. (It wouldn't let me play it)

-Goat Harness
-Tangled Net

I really think I screwed up the timeline of the game and busted the event triggers. If someone has a savegame I can have around chapter 5 (or near the parachute part) please post it.

This game is making me mad now.

You should be able to listen to the Hello record anytime. I didn't listen to it until almost the end of the game. It'll also let you do the fingerprint gathering subplot even after you use an item that makes it impossible to complete.

Well every time I tried to listen to it throughout all of chapter 2, 3 and 4.. it would not let me listn. And once I flipped the record over to the Goodbye side, it wouldn't even let me flip the record over again.

Anyways, back on topic. Anybody have any clue what I'm supposed to do? By chapter 5, arent the silk sheets supposed to already be sewn together by Emily and given back to you?

This is where I'm stuck. I just have the standard silk sheets, unsewn.. and I can't give them to her to sew them.

Silly game, isn't it? She will eventually get some of them to help you with the parachute. You may recall that she mentioned few chapters ago after the death of Mrs Rogers, the maid, that

I was wondering if you found out how to move forward.

You're at a point where you need to try to get out of the island. They mentioned a parachute, you're right. Emily said she would do it. She said will need three things: the linens that are automatically given when you talk to her, the thread and the needles. Once you give all three, walk around a little and then go back to her. She will have all three ready for you.
