I just finished playing Fahrenheit and started playing Still Life. It is a very welcome change of pace for me. While Fahrenheit was very intense, Still Life is relaxing.

I hope you enjoy Still Life. I really liked it. :)

I enjoyed Still Life. It's a good game to sit down on the couch with and take your time playing. It's all good except for one impossible puzzle mid-game.

:) Good for you! From now stay away from the more 'controversial' adventure games. ;) ;) ;)

Whaaat? Why on earth should he stay away from them? Geez, he had trouble at the beginning of Fahrenheit, went out and bought a gamepad just to play it, and now managed to finish. Sounds to me exactly like the kind of open-mindedness and courage you keep promoting. I'd say some well-deserved props are in order instead of discouragement.
Oldspook, Still Life is definitely a change of pace, but a good game in its own right, so you should have fun. :)

I found that puzzle last night, at least I hope I did and there is not one harder one later (the lock puzzle?). I worked on it for 6 hours and quit for a while.
I went back to playing Neverwinter Nights. Now I'll be playing NWN for a while till I get up enough courage to tackle Still Life again.

The lock puzzle is one of the hardest in the game. The others that people complain about are the cookie puzzle (I think you're already past this?) and a puzzle near the end that takes place in the FBI office.
I enjoyed Still Life's puzzles, for the most part, and I usually don't like that type of puzzle. I'm not sure why, they just made sense to me. Maybe I was just experiencing good gaming karma when I played it.

I only bothered with it for like 2 minutes, then went to find a walkthrough since I knew it was going to be impossible. Same thing with the absolutely HORRIBLE bead puzzle in Nibiru.

I did the same thing with the lock puzzle. It wasn't worth an ulcer just to prove I could figure it out. ;)

I couldn't do the bead puzzle in NIBIRU. I had to get a save game from the net to get past it. I really liked the rest of NIBIRU.

Same here. I'm glad I didn't listen to the AG review or else I would have never played this great game. :)

I Loved the lock puzzle! I took a good hour or so with notes all over my desk but it was fun.
OTOH, the Cooking puzzle was kind of annoying for me. Mainly because it didn't make any sense! Honestly what does it matter if she doesn't make the stupid cookies - which BTW she says she's made before so she should know how.
Legolas, after we've had such a polar opposite experience on the last game, I'm glad we agree on this one. So far its a solid 'B' for me (Near the end - I'll probably finish it tonight)

To follow your sig, I'd probably give these ratings for recent games I've played:
Still Life: B-
Nibiru: B
TMOS: B+
Indigo: A-

Scoring Nibiru higher than Still Life doesnt make sense to me at all. Both games had its flaws, but personally I enjoyed Still Life alot more than Nibiru.
Tmos a B+ ?? Nah, wouldnt rate it that high myself

Everybody has different tastes Kasus.. But FWIW, I agree on TMOS. Its probably a C or a C+ for me.

Agreed. I went through this game in about 3 days without a single hint. The puzzles all made perfect sense to me. If anything I believe that veteran adventure gamers would complain about the game being too EASY.
