I was wondering what you guys thought was the best adventure game we should be playing for the holiday.

Is it Sanitarium? I noticed there was a pumpkin patch: http://justadventure.com/reviews/Sanitarium/sani_02.jpg?30,13 :D

Hmn, I'd say Grim Fandango might fall into that category, too. It's got some Mexican stylings going on there but it also has a very halloween-ish theme mixed in too.

I think I'm going to play Tony Tough and the Night of the Roasted Moths. It's actually set during Halloween. Also, I don't like spooky games that much anyway.

A Vampyre Story has the potential to claim this honor whenever it gets released, but for now I'll say Maniac Mansion.

I purchased Dark Fall The Journal a couple of weeks ago, but I've managed to postpone playing it so far.
I'm hoping that it will be as scary as I think it will:)
At the moment I'm alternating between Still Life, Martin Mystere, Fahrenheit, CSI and Shadow of Rome.

For a scary game that isn't really an adventure, I have to nominate the first Blair Witch game - I know it got slammed by the critics, but IMO that is one scary game:frown:

Oh, and Clive Barker's Undying - there are so many unsettling, spine-tingling noises in that game that I just wanted to run as fast as I could through the mansion without stopping:crazy:

I plan to play Realms of the Haunting, but that's not a true adventure game.

Hum, what was it? Hugo's House of Horrors? :) Years since I played that game, I think it was kinda like that... at least the name implies so!

Oh man, the key in the pumpkin! That's it, I'm playing it again.

There's a game called The Dark Eye, which is based on the stories of Edgar Allen Poe. The gameplay isn't very good (there aren't any real puzzles), and it is pretty short, but otherwise it's a decent game. The puppets are really freaky.

Grim Fandango would be the best choice. :D

Quest for Glory IV would be a good one, too, considering the spooky autumn setting. Oh, and the vampires and zombies.

I change my mind, Quest for Glory 4 is easily a winner. I wasen't thinking about Quest For Glory, QFG3 & 4 are ''like the best games ever.''TM

I would vote for Blackstone Chronicles. That game is so scary, I couldn't play it alone under any circumstances.

I was a lot younger when I played it, though :)

Can I get a "Shadow of the Comet" in here?
