Welcome to AG, katy. :)
Forgive me, but you posted this thread in the wrong forum. This is the General gaming forum (non adventure games). Because it's an adventure game it should go in the Adventure forum, where it should receive more exposure. Let's wait for a mod to relocate it, eh?

I thought the same thing. Dirty mind indeed.
Sorry from me also.
If you'd tell us what the problem is, katy, it would be a lot easier to help. ;)

OK here is one problem. I can't get a picture of the head of Baphomet. Bebe doesn't give it to me, and so I can't get the candle to light up so I can investigate the mural. I have talked to EVERYONE. Got through the crypt parts and puzzles, gave the police the things I had except the 2 coins, got a ransom note but can't proceed. I am a new game playing grandmother who is slightly stuck at this point of the game. If you can help, I would appreciate it. kb
i haven't played post mortem yet, so i can't help. but this site may:
http://www.uhs-hints.com/uhsweb/postmort.php
it gives cascading hints, so it doesn't give away stuff you haven't done yet.
you could also try posting your question at the gameboomers help board:
http://www.gameboomers.com/ubboard/ultimatebb.php?ubb=forum;f=1
i know a lot of people over there have played this game, so hopefully someone can help you.
hope you find the answer!

Hi gamers,
After searching to whole internet, I'm still stuck on very much the same as this girl had in december 2003. In Post Mortem, I can't seem to light the fresco in the back of the bistro, because the light is not lit yet. It seems I'll have to show the drawing of the Baphomet first, which I can get out of the chest back in the Eaton's appartment. The key to this chest has to be, according to all the walktroughs found on the internet, behind the poster in the living room of the appartment.
But that's where my problem is: I can't do anything but zoom in and look at the poster. I can't get any key or tore a peace of paper off the poster of something. It;s driving me crazy. Did I miss something before? I talked to all the people in the game too...
Can anyone help me?

Pff. I just found out. The key wasn't behind the poster at all, but in the Room 507, the crime scene... :Z

sorry for bumping a really old thread, but I gotta know...is there a difference between the UK version and the US version? if the key is supposed to be in room 507 how come some of the walkthroughs I have see say that it is behind the poster?

I've played "Post Mortem" quite a few times - the key's location appears to be either randomised, or programmed to show up in a certain place depending on your choices throughout the game. This is also the case with a few of Post Mortem's other puzzles, such as:
* Using the lockpick to get into Helloin's office. This room can be broken into another way, so if you choose to use your lockpick here you will no longer be able to open the Crime Scene door with this item - instead, you can use an artifact given to you earlier by Mrs Loiseau. If, however, you didn't choose the right dialogue option to be given this artifact, a pencil will show up in the game to fulfil the same objective. :)

Ah, I see. I'm surprised how non-linear the game is :)

Agreed! I know it's not to everyone's tastes, but I do have a sneaky litte soft spot in my heart for Post Mortem. ;)
