The game was based off a TV show. It was a horror game, and probably the only game that sucessfully scared the shit out of me.

Yes, one area of the game is a museum. This screen is part of that area.

Seriously. It was great. There was so much to interact with, so many areas to explore, and danger at every turn. It is, to this day, the scariest game I've ever played. All of the apperations and the chilling voices that came out of nowhere. I remember all these things happening at the most random times. There was a portrait of of the main villain, Orpheo, in some room. I clicked on it, nothing happened. I turned back to exit, but something told me to look back. The eyes were seeping blood and the creepiest laugh I've ever heard came out of nowhere. Yeah, it's a pretty cheap trick, but the production values, the incredible audio, and the atmosphere make this game one of the scariest ever created.

(ever finished it, Lucien?)
For a final laugh, here's the plot outline (quoted from the very same review):
Land of Hope and Glory, cold rice pudding, wet Sundays in Manchester and long queues at the Post Office have all helped make Britain the country it is today. But above all these stands one item that has truly put the Great in Great Britain - the cricket ball. This tremendously hard orb, which can smite a human body with such force that it hurts even through a foot of mattressing, has beaten the British character into shape.
But now evil is in the air - the dastardly Count Chameleon has plans to change a cricket ball's bounce with the help of his rubber-tronic ray. This bounder must be boweled a bouncer if he is to be stopped, and Viscount Sebastian Stifflip, Professor Braindeath, Colonel R G Bargie and Miss Palmyra Primbottom are the team to do it.
:D
Very British, eh? Man, THOSE were the days!

There's not a lot of hints that would be helpful, but:
1) It's a Myst clone
2) The objective is to discover the mysteries of evelution and trying to save humanity from extinction.
3) Developed in Hong Kong

I think there are, or were, two different Shine Studios. Comer was a one-man indie game, sold from his web site. He made just the one game. A true Mystian adventure. I liked it. No longer available. The web site and its owner have now disappeared into thin air.

You do, of course, have a right to hold your own opinion. So do I, I suppose. I believe that many such games, books, movies, etc., can also be well-intentioned, especially for those that want that sort of 'experience'. Whether it's a Christian 'message' game, or a 'Hindu', 'Muslim' or 'Buddhism' -themed game, I certainly don't have a strong and emotive opinion either way on the subject of such games. They're just games with a different theme. For those that want to play them for one reason, or another, that's fine by me. Some people might see them as another form of edutainment game. Their ALL just games, and the Christian type games are, after all, usually advertised as such. That's probably far, far better than subliminal 'messages' in games, I'd have thought. :)
Anyway. Any idea of what game the screenshot is from then ?? :D
Broken Sword 1 is a nice christian game :D
You do, of course, have a right to hold your own opinion.
You asked a question. I answered it.
They're just games with a different theme.
The difference between a game with a MESSAGE and a game with Christian themes or overtones is unmistakable.
Wait... I already said that.

The phrase is believed to originate from the practice of saving a hunted fox by dragging a red herring across its trail to cause the pursuing hounds to lose the true scent and follow the false odor of herring instead.

Karmillo, what you quoted is my reply to what Jacques l'aliéné said about Backpacker. Backpacker is the best adventure I played this year, NOT the adveture I'm asking about.
Ok, here's a small clue for starters, if it won't help I'll post another one: This is actually a 3rd person, point n' click adventure game. What you see is from an early scene (the score is still 0), and you don't actually have to play a flight simulator. The health bar is there because there are some arcade sequences in the game.
