Im not sure if I went into the mer kingdom too early or not but I need to get a hint as to how to get into the sharkee palace. I know they cant see well in the dark and I assume it has something to do with that but.....

You can't get stuck in the KQ2 remake, so don't worry about that.

Do you have something you can use as a light? If not, you need to pick something up underwater that can be used as a light source.

Where are you, exactly? Still just swimming around? Need more specifics so I can give a better hint. :)

Im on the seahorse in the sharkee territory. Hmm, can I look around the regular sea floor?

There's a grid of like twelve or sixteen underwater screens. Some have guards in them and some don't. Explore all of them, but be prepared to exit quickly if you enter a screen with a guard in it.

There are a couple of items you need to pick up.

Hint:
One is near a sunken boat, and the other is plant life.

Spoiler:
You need to pick up a bottle near the sunken boat, and then get some of the glow-in-the-dark leaves into the bottle to serve as a light source.

Once you get these things,

proceed to the far left, bottom corner of the grid of Sharkee territory (go as far left as you can and as far down as you can). IIRC, this is the screen from which you can get where you're trying to go.

Ok, this isnt a request for a hint but I need to make sure something is right in the game.

I got the note that was inside the geenie bottle but it disapeared from my inventory when I got the carpet from the secret storage room in the antique shop. I did it twice and it left my inventory both times exactly when I pick up the carpet.

Will I need that note?
