I Have Installed Kqvii & It Is Running Ok, But There Is Something Wrong With The Speech. The Lady Is Talking Reeeaaaalllyy Slowly Like An Old 45 Record Played At 33 Speed. I Did The Test During Setup & Heard The Voice & Music Fine. Does Anyone Know What Might Be The Problem?
Welcome to the forum. :)
Is this a DOS version of the game or Windows? (DOS would have been installed using install.exe and Windows with setup.exe.) Are you using Windows XP? What kind of sound card do you have?

It is a windows version & I am running windows 98. I am not too bright when it comes to the workings of a computer. How do I find out what sound card I am using?

There is a great little open source program called DosBox, you can find it here:
http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/news.php?show_news=1
It basically emulates DOS, and lets you play ancient PC games. It's a bit hard to use, but as long as you read the Readme and documentation, you'll be able to figure it out.
It's been able to run all my favorite old Adventure Games so far. Including one of my alltime favs, Ween: The Prophecy ;)
DosBox is great, but it's not going to help with a Windows version of the game. ;)
There is a patch for KQ7 here (ftp://ftp.sierra.com/pub/patches/pckq7pat.exe). I don't know what it's supposed to do but you might try it and see if it fixes the problem you're having.
Does the game have a way for you to change the sound options depending on your sound card? The DOS versions of these games do, but I'm not sure about the Windows version of KQ7. (I'm not exactly sure how to tell which sound card you have on Win98, sorry. :frown: )
