"Our story begins in a make-believe land called France" - Homer Simpson
Although my story doesn't start in France, it could well end there. I'm currently studying for my degree in French at Exeter University, England. I've always had a keen interest in France, and it's always been a dream of mine to be fluent in another language. I've just returned from spending a year working in Bordeaux, an experience i'll never forget.
I live in Exeter with my 5 housemates, and spend the majority of my time exceedingly drunk. When sober (and sometimes when not) I'm the General Secretary of our Theatre Company and get involved with as many of the shows we put on as I possibly can. I'm also a huge music fan, and am a regular concert-goer. I'm an avid follower of the band Garbage.
I've been playing Adventure Games since I was about 8 or 9. Dad used to bring home fantastic games like 'the Secret of Monkey Island' or 'Beneath a Steel Sky' and sit there playing them for hours. My brother and I used to pretend to play, but basically ended up waiting for him to solve a puzzle, just so we could move on a bit.
12 years on and I still love them, although thankfully I don't need my dad's help anymore. I love watching the story unfold, or the thrill of solving something that's been haunting you for days.
So here's to many more years to come and (fingers crossed) a fantastic degree to boot.
