The poor Church. When it comes to adventure games, it just can’t seem to catch a break. With all its secret societies and rogue sects and hidden agendas, you’d think that every shady closet in the Vatican was filled with skeletons. They sure don’t teach that in Sunday school. But it’s fortunate for gamers, because when not protecting centuries-old conspiratorial secrets from prying adventurer’s eyes, the Church is busy defending secrets centuries ago, like the latest excursion to the Middle Ages in Murder in the Abbey.

In this hand-painted medieval mystery from Spanish developer Alcachofa Soft, something is not right in a remote monastery, far away from the shadow of Rome. With a premise similar to The Name of the Rose, a series of unexplained crimes has occurred within its supposedly-hallowed walls, and only a visiting monk named Leonardo (looking nothing like Sean Connery – sorry, ladies) can get to the bottom of it all. With the help of his young assistant Bruno, Leonardo must confront one mystery after another as he attempts to penetrate a closely-guarded plot whose exposure could threaten the very foundations of the Church.

Enjoying a game like Murder in the Abbey might seem a bit sacreligious, but three people will soon be able to blame us on Judgement Day for their guilty pleasure. We, in turn, will point at The Adventure Company, who has offered up three complimentary game copies to give away. But that will be then and this is now, and for now you’ll first need to correctly answer the three devilishly difficult questions below to be eligible. As always, however, we’ll be Good Samaritans and point out that the answers you need can all be found somewhere in the bible. Haha, happy reading! No wait, sorry, I mean they can all be found either at the official website or our preview of the game.

The contest will run for one full week or until the onset of Armageddon, whichever comes first. Personally, we’re counting on the week, which would end up being Monday, September 8th. So don’t delay, get your answers in today!
