Ahhh… Venice.
Relaxing on a scenic gondola ride through its famous canals, soaking in the historical splendour of St. Mark's Square, and of course… going undercover to infiltrate a dangerous crime syndicate??!! Oh, right, this is Nancy Drew we’re talking about. Never the idle tourist, the plucky teen detective is back for her whopping 18th PC adventure, spending her summer in Italy solving mysteries in The Phantom of Venice.
This time out, Nancy will need to do a little undercover work in order to help the police discover the identity of “Il Fantasma", the thief responsible for stealing valuable works of art throughout the city and threatening to up the ante. Naturally, there are a variety of suspects who have both motive and opportunity, and Nancy will be challenged not only to identify the culprit(s), but also to contend with the elements of Venetian culture along the way, including a foreign language and the city’s unique transportation system.
If you’re wishing YOU were going to Venice this summer, now you’ll have the chance… at least virtually. To help celebrate the release of The Phantom of Venice, we are pleased to offer free retail copies of the game to three lucky winners, courtesy of Her Interactive. But not just anyone has what it takes to join Nancy on her quest, so first you’ll need to deduce the correct answers to the three quiz questions below. Of course, since the answers can all be found at the game’s official website, resourceful sleuths have everything they need at their fingertips, so start clue-hunting if you need it! If not, you're up the... err... canal without a paddle.
The contest will run for one full week, ending Friday, August 1st, so get that entry in today. Good luck, and ciao for now.
