Perry Whodat?

If you already knew the name "Perry Rhodan" before the recent release of The Immortals of Terra: A Perry Rhodan Adventure (or Rhodan: Myth of the Illochim in Europe), you're likely either an avid book reader, sci-fi lover, or German. Or all of the above. The fictional astronaut is hugely popular in Germany; the star of over 3,000 novels over the course of nearly half a century. But elsewhere around the world, name recognition is closer to Michael Collins (you know, that third guy who didn't get to walk on the moon) than Han Solo or Captain Kirk. But that was then and this is now, and at long last Perry Rhodan's first PC adventure is ready to take the worl… err, "Perryverse" by storm.

The game begins as the center of Terran power is attacked and Perry's girlfriend, Mondra Diamond, is abducted. For his own protection as Terran Regent, Perry is confined within the city and a communications blackout imposed. Deprived of his influence as a galactic ruler, Perry must escape secretly in order to find Mondra and discover the purpose behind the attack, armed only with his multi-functional wristband, his intellect, and of course, the player's help.

But if the distant future looks bleak for Perry and friends, the immediate future is looking awfully sunny for a few lucky adventure gamers.
