announcement: Quantic Dream Developer's Chat

It's been a long time since we first heard of Fahrenheit, beginning our slow and often impatient wait for what looked to be one of the most intriguing and innovative "adventures" to come along in years. I say adventure loosely, of course, because it's such a unique, experimental approach to storytelling in games that it really defies genre labels. In fact, it even defies media labels, as it's as much interactive movie as a stereotypical game.

But several years and two publishers later, now the game is out at last, though known as Indigo Prophecy in North America. Even better, it's garnering almost unanimous critical acclaim, including our own review, and is one of the most talked-about titles even in the mainstream gaming community. Whether it's the "rubber band" choice-and-consequence approach to storytelling, the mini-game arcade sequences, the unrelenting emotional focus, or even the silly-though-infamous hoopla over the removal of sexual content, Fahrenheit is a hot topic only getting hotter.

But what's discussion without insight? That's what we thought, too, which is why Adventure Gamers is pleased to host a Developer's Chat with Quantic Dream this coming Thursday, September 29th. Joining us will be the game's writer and director David Cage. The chat will run for four hours, from noon Eastern (16:00 GMT) to 4pm Eastern (20:00 GMT). Check out a time zone converter for your area.

The invitation is open to all, though you'll have to register on the Adventure Gamers forum to post in the discussion. It should be a fun and informative time for all, so we hope to see you there!
