completed contest: Beneath a Steel Sky limited edition comic giveaway

If there’s one thing the futuristic sci-fi adventure Beneath a Steel Sky teaches us, it’s that technology can be abused. And I don’t mean infomercial-quality “stuff that never works” abuse. We’re talking a terrifying, almost Orwellian, Big Brother–suppress humanity–kill all dissenters kind of abuse. You know… bad stuff.

But then there’s the good side of progress. Like, say… the iPhone and iPod Touch! After all, these are the platforms responsible for bringing us the “Remastered” edition of Revolution’s cult classic fifteen years after its original release. Players can once again (or for the very first time) jump into the futuristic shoes of Robert Foster, a man abducted from his home and now determined to make his way, with a little help from his sidekick pal Joey, through various city tower levels in order to expose the corruption at the heart of a totalitarian society. Only this time, with feeling, thanks to the new touch-based interface, along with other upgrades like animated movies from acclaimed artist Dave Gibbons, a context-sensitive hint system, and a revamped audio track with improved voices and music.

You’re on your own for picking up the game yourselves (but at $5 from the iTunes store, it shouldn’t break too many banks), as we’d prefer to offer something even more enticing. What could be better than a new-fangled enhancement of a beloved classic? Hmm, maybe the specially reprinted 12-page Beneath a Steel Sky comic. Only 400 of these exist worldwide, and Adventure Gamers is pleased to offer one to ten lucky winners, courtesy of Revolution Software. Oh, and did we mention they’d be signed by Dave Gibbons and Revolution’s own Charles Cecil? There's "limited edition" and then there's these.

All you need to do to be eligible is subject yourself to a laser ID imprint and retinal sca…. Whoops, sorry, wrong agenda. Right, here we go… all you need to do is correctly answer the three quiz questions below. And for those who have been mind-wiped once too often, all the information you need can be found either in our review of the PC original or at Revolution's website.

The contest will run for one full week, ending Sunday, October 18th. Assuming computers haven’t taken over civilization by then, names will be randomly selected and winners will be notified by email.
